We've eaten here on a number of occasions at various times of the year, I always go for pizza! The staff are really friendly and don't keep you waiting. The Pizza is really very good, the beer, wine and limoncello are not bad either. If you're struggling to pick a restaurant on the front in El Campello, then just plump for this one, you won't be disappointed.

My first visit for some years and I was not disappointed. We started with Fried Chopitos, very small cuttlefish and Ham Croquettes. Both were tasty and fresh. But I then shared a Zarzuela, an amazing shellfish and fish soup. This was a first for me, ingredients included Lobster; Mussels; Clams: Prawns; Shrimps and Crayfish. It was excellent. The wine list is very large with a great range of bottles, hard to go wrong.Service was excellent. I would advise booking as we went on a Thursday lunch and it was very busy.

The Club Nautico restaurant overlooks the docked boats in the port. All the food we had was marvellous--mussels in sauce, calamares cooked on the griddle, monk fish with a thin quince sauce and turbot on the griddle served over tabbouleh with vegetables. Our meal was on a Sunday so there most tables were full, but you can reserve.

We are regular visitors to the area and thought we should try this seafront restaurant. We hoped it might prove to be a new favourite. The first dishes arrived promptly and it looked promising. The octopus and garlic prawns were good. Then after a long wait the waiter asked if we wanted to order anything else. In fact we were waiting for our main courses which had been completely forgotten. By now the restaurant had filled up and other customers were muttering and calling over waiters to ask about the dishes they had ordered but had not been delivered. We were dining with 4 young children so had started our meal early, hoping for speedy service. The children were becoming restless so we asked for the bill and cancelled the rest of our order. The staff were aware of our dissatisfaction and the cost of the bread was deducted from the bill. Big deal! Our meal was ruined. This restaurant needs to sort out its service! A shame because we wonât be going back.

It helps to speak Spanish as the waiter tells you what is on the menu. There is no written one. We started with monkfish liver and calamari. The monkfish liver was tender, beautifully cooked and very tasty. We've never had it before. It was like it was half way between calf's liver and fish. The calamari was a collosal portion but really well cooked and fresh. For main we had paella with alioli. The paella (or it might have been an 'arroz con something' as we just said that we'd have what the next table were having) was very nice with crusty 'socarrat' on the bottom (the crispy bits) but was a little over salty. The alioli was unlike any other we'd had. It was 'an emulsion' made with only garlic, olive oil and a little salt. It wasn't mayonnaise with garlic. It was really delicious. If you like your alioli strong with garlic, you'll love this. The waiters were all very friendly. It's not easy to find as it was not exactly where Google maps told us where it was. We asked a local. It was just a couple of blocks from where Google had said it was. Despite it being way out in the suburbs, it was very full. We were very lucky to have got a table. We did book on the phone (again in Spanish only). It was started in 1972 by the current owner's father.

Family owned restaurant since 1981 experts on mediterranean gastronomy such as rice and seafood.Lovely terrace by the sea and interior like if you were sailing on a boat
La Peña is a classic Campello restaurant, not particularly attractive in decor (has remained with the ''boat'' and ''fishing'' motives forever, but you can guarantee one of the best rice dishes (paellas) in Alicante!! Starters were some great Spanish ham , ''Denia'' shrimps (''gamba roja'' great size and grilled to perfection) . As a main course we had two different rice dishes. One ''arroz a banda'', perfect rice with little adornment but delicious and one with tuna and red peppers, also fantastic. The garlic mayonnaise is the best around, very strong and just made with olive oil and garlic, even though Alfredo confessed they use an egg yolk every 10 liters!!!. A fantastic meals in a wonderful air conditieoned place away from the heat!!

This place was packed and Iâm not sure why there is much better quality food available in this area. Lots of British people. The menu is absolutely massive so there is no way food can be made to order. We ordered a mango curry and a korma and they were perfectly edible but we couldnât taste any difference between the two and they just tasted sweet. The kids bolognese looked horrible. Sangria tasted weird. If you just want to fill your stomach itâs fine but if you like good quality authentic food this isnât the place to come. Iâve no idea how it get 4.5/5?!

We ate closed every wednesday ,all day and every thursday lunch.
Always visit when staying with my brother who lives nearby. I enjoyed the small portion of the goats cheese starter, which came with lovely fresh salad and was a good size for me. Followed by mussels and frites. The 2nd visit I had scallops and a really delicious chicken with Camembert sauce - very rich but oh so delicious. The owners offer of his homemade rum punch is a nice finisher. Service and food are great, never feel rushed. Would recommend booking.

Welcome to Restaurante Andra Mari El Campello.Abadia family have grown between stove and how could it be otherwise, we live by and for the kitchen.Since 1990 we are in El Campello offering traditional Basque cuisine, which we have continued to incorporate
We have been visiting Campello for more than 30 years and this is our yearly treat. Yes you can get a meal cheaper on the sea front but nothing NOTHING matches the attention to detail and the calmness and the fact that this is YOUR table for the night. Proper Spanish food. High quality alcoholic choices. Cant fault it. Thank you very much. It is a pleasure for us to take your time to leave us a positive review on this website. Thank you very much again. We hope to see you soon
