We loved our meal at Le Cucine del Borgo. It was enjoyable to speak with the new owners and hear about this couple's passion for the food, the history of the building and their love of the area. We had a delicious fish dinner and some excellent wine for a very reasonable price. I love this place. Have eaten here twice and it was consistently top notch. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy. The hostess, carla, is very simpatica and cares about quality ingredients. The typical lazio dishes are delicious but so is the meat and the way the vegetables are prepared makes them all yummy. So fresh.

This restaurant had been recommended to us, but it was far better than we could have imagined. The tortiglioni allo scoglio were delicious, the fish taste had permeated right through the pasta. We wanted a "light" lunch so we only had a first course and dessert. When we said dessert, the waitress brought us some home-made friandises, and then came back a second and a third time with different desserts. And yet the lunch was so incredibly inexpensive. We sat in the beautiful garden, right next to the ancient church. I can't imagine a more relaxing and pleasant lunch.Dear Sir,Thank you very much for reviewing our restaurant.We are very glad to read your positive opinion. The restaurant is in the same structure as the hotel, but is separate in all respects. It is not elegant, but the food was superb. Everything is fresh, seasonal, an much of it made in-house. The service throughout the meal was friendly, attentive and they are clearly proud of their cooking. It is worth a detour to eat there. The bill for two complete meals plus wine and water was quite reasonable.
