A friendly place to grab a quick coffee in the shade and enjoy the sea breeze off the front. Probably not scenic but nice and quite in a back street off the main square. The dishes, especially the Paella, looked amazing and all plates were empty. A good sign for me your as all the locals eating here too!Agradecidos enormemente por su comentario!!! We ate here three times during our stay in Cadiz. The first time we had the Andalusian tasting menu and my husband had the wine pairing as well. The food was excellent (there was just too much of it) and the sommelier was really helpful and suggested different sherries/wines for each course for my husband. The second time we ate there was also good. Eating there was very pleasant and it looked really nice with the flowers on the table and the lighting. There was even a guitarist playing across the road which added to the atmosphere. Sadly, the third time we came the service wasn't so good. I had booked a table, andwhen we arrived we stood at the door a matter of feet from three members of staff and I might as well have been invisible for several minutes. Eventually the head waiter came out and said we could choose a table. Nobody came to ask if we wanted a drink, and we didn't get any bread even though all the other tables were given some. We asked for bread when our starters arrived but still nothing came. Eventually some was offered to us when we had finished our starters - we said it was too late, and a couple of minutes later we were offered some more, which again we declined. Needless to say the bread appeared on our bill (we had it taken off). Getting attention from the staff was really difficult thoughout that meal, which was a shame as we had had such good service on the other occasions.

Loved all the food. Be aware of the plates that arw supposed to have everything and then they come out and you are told that something is missing because it was not ready!!?? We ordered one plate that included all deep fried seafood and there were no shrimps and no other 2 more products. When we asked we were told because they were not ready yet! Wth? What kind of excuse is that? Anyway, make sure you get everything you order. Lines are usually long but the wait is not that much.

El Faro de Cadiz is located in the traditional neighborhood of "La Viña", where Gonzalo Cordoba started with a small bar decorated as a sailor tavern, with nets and fishing stuff, with few wooden benches and tables. The customers came in search of the fam
High end dining, with attentive staff and quality food. Presentation and selction of food was wide and plenty of alternatives if you didn't want fish.My main was tuna which was beautifull cooked and my husband had rape(monkfish) served in a sauce with pine nuts and raisins .A lovely Albariño white wine from Martin Codax accompanied the food perfectly.

We chanced on the Potito beach club and have had two spectacular meals. Their paella senorita was delicious and when we returned we were served again by the lovely waitress Alba. Second time we had Red Snapper cooked simply but filleted with great care (by Alba) and it was delicious!Highly recommend this place for excellent laid back service and delicious food.Muchas gracias por elegir nuestro establecimiento!!! Un lugar donde la tradicion gastronomica gaditana se hace realidad. Disfruta de nuestros platos y tapas y por supuesto de una ubicacion inmejorable.
This place is located just by the local mercado and has a nice little terrace where we had the best lunch in Cadiz. The fish and seafood were fresh and tasty, as well as the wines. They prepare most of it on the grill, but you won't go wrong if you go with the fried options. Best value for money ever, great portions and relaxed and welcoming staff. Strongly recommended!!
