We visited Canet en Rousillon for a holiday and was given a recommendation for Can Marcel. It certainly didn't disappoint the food was wonderful and so was the service. The waitress explained each meal to us and made us feel very relaxed and welcome. The 2 men in our party had the Red Tuna which was a special of the day, my friend had roasted monkfish tail on a bed of potatoes and onions and I had an amazing selection of shellfish. Highly recommended.

It's not my habbit to review restaurants since I don't consider myself to be a food critic, but this restaurant just has to be praised. Nostra Mar is located away from the tourist boulevard of Canet Plage, so you'll probably find mainly locals here. In my opinion a good sign for quality local food. This establishment consist of two parts, the restaurant and a little fish market. On the menu there are a variaty of fish tapas. Besides that there is also the possibility of choosing a fish from the market, which will then be prepared to your liking in the kitchen of the restaurant. We opted for the latter, and choose a sole, wich was without a doubt one of the best soles i have ever eaten.I highly recommend you to leave all that tourist crap in Canet behind and go eat a fish at Nostra Mar.........!!!!

Stay away this establishment, they exercise racial abuse. Never been treated so badly by management. My partner and I were thrown out after not being able to understand the menu and as we walked away this staff began to slur and signal racial abuse. I have never been so embarrassed in my life. It sadness me how Restaurants can still carry on in this manner. I hope this message can deter anyone from experience just embarrassment from restaurant staff.voila ce qui c'est réellement passer , soirée avec mauvais temps les places restaient restreintes,c'est 2 personnes bon chic bon genre viennent et sâinstallent a la dernière table de 2. nous avons un menu a 17 euro par personne avec des produits frais et fais maison.et eux voulaient prendre un menu pour 2 nous disant au serveur que madame était malade et qu'elle mangerait pas.mais quand on leur emmené le plat tous les deux mangent . nous leur expliquons que ce n'est pas possible qu'il faut que madame prenne aussi un menu .la monsieur nous avoue qu'ils non pas d'argent , je récupérè le plat de moule et de frite et leur demande de partir . quand a eux dommage que je n'ai pas eu leur réflexe de les prendre en photo , vous auriez pu voir les vêtements de marque qu'ils portaient , ils avaient rien qu'avec ça largement de faire mème des restaurant gastronomique.mais certaines personnes préfèrent porter de beaux vêtements et gratter un menu a 17 euro oui 17 euro au restaurant., que toutes les origine et religion continues a venir chez nous ils seront tres bien reçu par contre vous ne revenez jamais.

The food here is fantastic and staff friendly. We felt they were somewhat exasperated with our lack of fluent French. Good was well presented and fish displayed for you to see before cooking. Wine was local and very good.

2 steps from Castillet, in the historic center of Perpignan. Pedestrian street, pleasant for children and families. Beautiful sunny terraces in summer to enjoy Mediterranean cuisine reinvented by the owners of the place. The motto: fresh produce, seasonin
We had dinner here yesterday. Service was relaxed and super friendly. Everything we had was fantastic and the mussels with parsley a particular highlight. The owner was very friendly and we would recommend highly.

Arrived in perpignan to watch a rugby game and ate out on several occasions this was by far the best meal. Its a slightly odd combination of french and thai cuisine. Atmosphere was superb, staff although they had to cope with our halting french were really helpful. Starter was recommended by the waitress, spring rolls and dumplings with lettuce and a spicy sauce - superb There were three of us two shared the Marmite (no its a pot not the yeast attract) of assorted seafood - wow large head on prawns, scallops, cuttle fish, mussels, cockles all served in a pot of rice really great flavours, substantial portion highly recommendedMy other son had a wok curry dish which again was outstanding, seafood with coco nut milk , green curry etc - superb Wasn't particularly expensive , beer press ion was icy stella, wine was cheap and excellent - highly recommended
