In full Rua do Franco (very close to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela) your restaurant is always adapted to modern times. Meson 42 is your confidence to make local wines, a beer or sit and enjoy traditional Galician cuisine prepared with love
Good and plentiful food, and a buzzy atmosphere. The road has many restaurants with similar Galician menus, so you probably can take your pick. We were a group of 9 and they made up a table for us very quickly, so quickly in fact that we had only just ordered a couple of bottles of house wine from the bar while we waited. The barman chose instead to serve us with a couple of his most expensive bottles, including one not even on the wine list, so I guess he could charge what he liked for it. We also tried to get tap water (the town is full of public drinking fountains and the tap water in the hotel is fine. . .) but this was treated with contempt. Plastic drinking water bottles at â¬2.90 were therefore served. 'Meson 42' was rechristened 'Fawlty Too' when the chubby waiter having nearly pulled a bottle from the rack with his bottom, squeezing behind our table, managed it only too well at the second visit. A bottle of wine shattered on the floor, and we all had to get up and move while the mess was cleared. The recommended Tacos Bacalaowas over priced and turned out to have 3 very small pieces of cod and a lot of potato. The langostinos and the sea food platter were plentiful.Anyway we enjoyed ourselves even if the meal turned out to be our most expensive.Hello Tumlingtar2015, we are very sorry that your experience in our restaurant was not entirely satisfactory. As you can see in other reviews, we usually receive many tourists and also local people in our restaurant, always putting the best of our part for everyone. We will consider your comment to try to improve in the future. Regards!

En el Terra Nosa nuestro objetivo es potenciar el sabor y la calidad de los productos de nuestra tierra, sin enmascararlos con otros sabores que puedan darle sombra a la materia prima.
Almost like a private club but really amiable. They make you feel at home and offer superb suggestions of truly great seafood dishes (I didn't try the great looking meats). Intimate, modern, imaculate and absolutely wonderful cuisine... Oysters amazing, scallops OMG, and Rape Negro (best monkfish I've ever tasted without doubt). Cannot wait to return.

We (a party of 4) had 3 starters and were happy that the friendly waitress advised us not to take more because otherwise our main dishes would have been to much. I disagree with the review complaining about serving size. We had the assorted grilled fish platter (grellada del pei) and paid 95 euros, incl. 2 bottles of water, a cafe and one dessert, the botle of white wine was 17 euros. I recommend the polpo starter and the cheese, probably "Rulo de Queixo".

This is one of the best restaurant in Laxe. They offer you a complete menu of fish, see food and meat. Donât miss the octopus a feira (boiled as Galician style with olive oil and papikra) which is served full piece. Also there is a great dish of Zamburiñas and Navajas (seafood) very fresh. For two, this will be enough. Nice staff but not sure if they are English speakers.

We found this place on our Galician seaside journey after trying lots of more typical/local restaurants. When you enter this place looks like a fish market. Beautiful fresh fish and seafood. You pick what you like and that's what you get! The chef can tell you lots of detail about the fish selection which can help you choose. Once you made up you mind on the food your escorted upstairs to the cozy restaurant. The waiter was very attentive, had proper wine knowledge and made us feel at home. The food was amazing. The shells were perfectly done and the fish grilled and cut exactly as we hoped for. This place is a clear recommendation!

Based on my own experience, Itâs a wonderful place to enjoy eating fresh fish and seafood. Good environment, fantastic service. We went the last weekend and enjoyed very much tasting the variegated scallops, razor shells and Martiño . Highly recommended. Weâll come back.

Traditional and creative galician cuisine. We invite you to join us on a unique journey through the flavors, aromas and textures of our land. A young and innovative gastronomic experience, born in the heart of Compostela, which brings to our days, the aut
I had dinner there last night after reading good reviews. Couldnât get in the night before but last night it wasnât busy at all. Had tomato salad which they are famous for, and even though I ordered a starter portion it was enormous and I could only eat a half portion. Tasty enough if you like tomatoes! For main course I had hake, Muros style. It looked beautiful on a bed of sliced potatoes, but in true Galician style it was way over salted. I donât know why they use so much salt. Itâs overpowering and you canât taste the fish at all!Maybe another dish would be less salty....

Cetárea y Depuradora de mariscos gallegos y de importación. Restaurante - MarisquerÃa. Tienda con productos del mar. Venta online de marisco gallego.
Enthusiastic welcome, including an apparently obligatory tour of the shellfish tanks (tip to proprietors - put a glass of wine in the punters hands before tour to ensure maximum attention and appreciation).Incredibly high quality seafood along with fulsome commentary on same. One black mark was the overcooked and yet cold freebie pastie to start.Overall an original place with fabulous seafood.Highly recommended for adventurous bivalve aficionados
