This is your basic local restaurant, average food, average service, nothing special about the location, but if you are hungry, it's an ok choice for the area.

Went here on Sunday to get late lunch hoping that it lived up to their reviews. However, we were greeted with nothing more than a horrible experience.Their main goal and only goal is maximising their sales from us. We waited around 20 minutes just for the menu and when we decided to leave, they came after us and became extremely pushy. When we returned, the waiter still refused to hand us the menu and proceeded to show us photos and photos of their dishes without the prices attached. About after 10 minutes later, they finally gave us the menu and if we accepted the photos, we would have been charged around 45- A PERSON! When we decided on a meal (roasted beef) the waiter suddenly told us that the kitchen was closed and that we should pick the meal from the photo. We refused and decided to get pasta which was cheaper than the roasted beef. At that moment the waiter changed his mind and said he will get it done. When our food arrived it was very different and not what we expected. It was like Tapas beef and could not be valued at 26-. We soon found out that they have us something completely different but we had already left at that time. They also charge 9- for tap water which is outrageous. The limoncello which was 'given' was half revoked. Ie. They poured one back and split it into two.We could also tell they were talking behind our backs and treated us with extreme disrespect.DONT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED! The reviews on google had photos of the waiter and waitress as reviewers so beware of good reviews!

La Table d'Edgard

Since the arrival of chef Edgard Bovier in 2004, La Table d’Edgard has become the flagship restaurant of Lausanne Palace. Michelin-starred and rated at 18/20 by Gault & Millau, this gourmet restaurant has become the hotel’s “creative laboratory”. Guarante

For me it's clear from other experiences I had in other Michelin awarded restaurants that this one should have 2 stars and not only one.The service is a luxury service and the food was very creative and truly amazing. The bill we paid was inline with other normal restaurants in the Lausanne area (around 100 CHF per person) and only if you choose an expensive wine, the end bill could be heavy.
