A wood burning grill is the focus of Redwoods cuisine. We feel that the flavors of food cooked over an open fire are enhance like wine aged in oak barrels.
After reading all the positive reviews, my wife & I were really looking forward to having lunch at this restaurant. The atmosphere was nice, the service was good too. But our lunch was just ok, not great. The turkey sandwich had hardly any turkey, it was very skimpy. We both left disappointed.Thank you for the feedback. I would love to know specifically what you had so I can discuss the issue with Chef. I do apologize for your experience here and I hope you might choose to give us another chance. Thank you again.

They keep the prices low by requiring everyone to buy a drink. You can buy anything from water to cosmos to wine to beer. The lobster is the big hit here as are the dozen clams that come with it. These clams are the bigger ones - - a little too chewy for my taste but for the price, who could argue! Just bring CASH!!!!!

What a wonderful and unexpected find. Delicious, very fresh seafood, beautifully prepared, right in Long Valley! Saturday night family dinner. Children were happy with the kid's menu which doubled as coloring pages/puzzles (and were given coloring pencils). Exceptionally good service. Delightfully calm and inviting decor and atmosphere. House salad OK and clam chowder, while having a great flavor, lacked sufficient clams. Rhode Island Black Bass was fabulous - perfectly prepared and a wonderful dish. Husband's fish and chips were fresh with a great crisp batter. We'll definitely be back.

Usually we eat early at about 5pm and we have never had to wait for a table. This particular Friday night we got there 4:45pm and we were told we would have to wait it turned out about ten minutes. Two other groups were also waiting. It was not a big deal but the issue was their staff was just coming in at that time, seems like poor planning especially for a Friday evening. When we were first seated on the right section we were the only customers there.By the time we left the restaurant was very full.Anyway THE FOOD, very good as usual, the waiter was great very responsive and in a good mood.Said he loves working there. The food was prepared perfectly, I opted for something fairly spicey, the Yucatan shrimp and tilapia over rice.Very large shrimps and a nice portion of tilapia, it was in the medium to hot range.Very good.My wife had the Walts pick 2 from the regular menu.Everything was good.
