My Father, I and several colleagues have been working in Venlo for a month now, de Brasserie was one of the first restaurants we came across and since we haven't found anything comparable. The food is delicious and having ordered majority of the menu always exceeds my expectations. I would highly recommend the Borsch and the Mussels as they are my personal favourites however as stated previously, you cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. On our first visit we were greeted with smiles, kindness decorum and full knowledge of the menu, that has all continued for every visit. All the staff are truly beautiful and so friendly, a true asset to de Brasserie. Working away from home is hard but this restaurant and crew truly has made us feel like we have a home away from home!! Thank you guys we love you all and will most certainly be back :) xoxo

Very good food, normal prices, big plates. You never leave hungry! The staff is very kind and they speak both German as Dutch. The restaurant is very clean, toilets are the best public toilets I have seen in ages. Decoration of the hotel is great: new, fresh, nice atmosphere (not the old Greek style). In the summer time the terrace is available as well. Reservation is possible but not always necessary. Enough parking space next to the restaurant. We travel to the restaurant quite often...a 30 minutes drive just for their food. You should try it too!

Stayed in Venlo for one night. Decided to go for an Indonesian meal and wasn't disappointed. Service was excellent. Choice of food was good too. There was a menu board on a wall but no paper menu so was difficult to chose and remember. I ended up having 4 tapas which were good. It did have the fast food popularist feeling about it which is not really my style. A place to go I would say.

We visited this restaurant on a short weekend stay in Arcen and surrounding areas. This was the culinary highlight of our weekend. The restaurant has a young new enthusiastic owner who composed a great menu with well-balanced flavors. We had the Lobster menu and the day menu with wine pairing menu. We were very pleasantly surprised and would recommend this to anyone. Staff is also very friendly. Just a great place.

Nothing short of excellent. We went for a full dinner, cava on arrival on the terrace with amuse bouche's which were excellent. Starters showed a flair for quality ingredient selection and delicate, patient preparation.Mains were again superb, excellently sized so to enjoy the flavours without being stuffed.Dessert was well presented and a superb selection of flavours and tastes. Well selected cheeses on the board but nothing special here.Complimentary wine list with enough to keep anyone happy.Service was attentive and friendly without being uncomfortably stuffy - I don't care much for the napkin folding and chair pushing lark.Restaurant is well furnished and decorated, a definite absence of bling is welcome. Relaxed and comfortable.A most pleasant way to spend an evening. Far from cheap but this is something you won't do every week.

The restaurant Die Alde Heerlickheijt is located in the medieval vaulted cellars of the castle. Let the chef and his team take you on a culinary journey of discovery! Choose from the comprehensive menu which offers a wide range of specialities. The chef i
Dinner in a Chateau. Who doesn't want that experience. We had dinner at this hotel/restaurant. We choose the chef menu but decided to have three courses. After the amuse, which was nice, we had the sashimi of tuna. Nice but a little overwhelming with different tastes. After the sashimi we had the trio of beef. A carpaccio, a filet americain and a tartare. Very nice but the sizes were big. After the second course we had the livar (pork) and the cod. The cod was slicly overcooked and the livar dry. Having higher expectations in advance voor the level if the restaurant, we were slightly disappointed. The service was very friendly and always willing to explain the course or the wine.

This is a place that has long been associated with food. âKwartelâ is Dutch for quail so â as the name suggests â quails were traded here from the fourteenth century until after the Middle Ages. And in the first half of the nineteenth century a mill stood
Venlo has definetely more to give than just fries and shopping. This nice spot remains on my top list of visited restaurants ever. Service was extraordinary and the quality and taste of the foods served were outstanding. We had the surprising 4 courses, once vegetarian. All courses were top notch, well composed and introduced at the table. Reasonable prices made our visit perfect. Thank you, we will come again.

We have been here several times with either my family of 6 or with my girlfriend.Staff is efficient but friendly, and always welcoming you with a smile. The typical Greek mezedes are my favorite: all fresh made and beatiful presented. Fried baby octupus, beef with aubergine puree, giant white beens with feta, grilled aubergine are some of the great starters. Gettong hungry while making this review:).Main course we mostly choose their fresh fish, you can have it grilled as a whole fish or they make a fillet for you. Sides dishes you can chose of fries, potatoes or garlic puree ( very nice). Plates are nicely decorated, not as some Greek restaurants were they throw the food on you're plate.Highly recommended!

On our way back home on a sunny afternoon. With some noise out of our stumics we decide to go to the southern side of Mediterranean , Greece .Ended up at Nostos , entree is a very nice surprise , not a traditional but original interior , modern waiter en splendid service. We went for the fish platter for 2 , started of with a salat of the house , nice green fresh crisp salat topped if with some olive and vinigar , just enough to be great not to much to loose quality. Salary came with fresh bread and a filler fish creme , nice combo , this restaurant shows how easy pure food can be , don"t razzle and dazzle with food , respect its original .Nostos has a outside diner patio under the trees besides a small river , how lucky. Can you be , fishplate, wooden plate with a ring of pilaf rice , fresh veggies in the middle and differend kind of fish on top. They took a risk but it just worked out fine , if you eat the fish and grilled veggies your good to go home , overall, very cosy modern restaurant with good quality food and service Greetz Pete
