Loved this place. The dinner was excellent, the staff exceptionally attentive and really down to earth friendly. We also stayed overnight & it was very comfortable and a relaxing place to be. Would highly recommend eating in the restaurant & having a drink in the comfortable hotel lounge.

Scallops and halloumi followed by fish and chips, prawn and monkfish burger and squid. Food was OK. Waitress was extremely disinterested, rushed, seemed bored and was very blunt with us. No smiles or friendliness. No tip given due to this. Great service is what this place really needs.

We are an unpretentious restaurant serving great food. We have local fresh fish and terrific steaks from locally reared stress-free animals. Choose a bottle of wine from our carefully selected range, all priced below normal restaurant prices. We make our
We tried this restaurant because we wanted seafood and the other two Brixham restaurants that specialised in seafood were either closed or fully booked, and JR's had good reviews, but we were disappointed - the food wan't bad just wasn't as good as we were expecting. We got off to a good start with the starters - my son enjoyed his starter of Fresh Scallops and my Tiger Prawns in a Chilli and Coriander sauce was fiery, but good. However, it was the mains that let the side down: my son enjoyed his Monkfish, Scallop and Prawn Medley (but found the sauce a bit heavy going), while my Lobster was a bit on the dry side and nothing special, and my wife's Trio of Brixham Fish was insipid and overwhelmed by the Parsley sauce. Based on the reviews, it would seem that ordering the meat is a safer bet.

Visited with my parents, father is coeliac and could choose anything from the menu as they can adapt almost anything to be gluten free. Loads of choice but the garlic scallops are amazing. Lovely views and friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely be back.

A traditional seaside stall/kiosk selling fresh seafood, included the highly recommended Crab Sandwich which I really enjoyed. My wife had the Seafood Platter which at £15 is a but pricey, but well worth the money given what this includes. My son also enjoyed his Smoked Salmon Parcel.

Weâve visited previously on trips to Brixham but this was the first time weâve had the restaurant to ourselves, probably due to the fact it was a Monday evening and pouring with rain. We had an absolutely delicious meal with excellent service. My friendâs gluten free diet was not a problem. The portions were extremely generous and the hake (catch of the day) was sensational. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

We had fish patties, ackee and saltfish samosas, jerk chicken and ackee and saltfish mains- all were brilliant. Generous portions and good value, especially compared to some of the other seafront restaurants in brixham. Excellent cocktail menu, and friendly service- one of our favourite restaurants in brixham. That's good to hear ... "Generous portions and good value".We were quite surprised to see someone saying recently that we we overpriced ... but I guess people have their own budget. We certainly don't feel like a rip-off, haha ... and the prices are all online. Thanks for supporting us.
