This was our second visit to Tapas, our last one being 4 years ago, gorgeous spot along the boardwalk, staff very friendly and food excellent. We chose the tapas menu and enjoyed a nice bottle of red wine. The tempura prawns were particularly tasty, food was hot and fresh. The restaurant has a lovely ambience. Keep up the good work, we will be back again Im sure.

We took a family vacation to Barbados and treated ourselves to a fabulous meal at Naru. With reservations, they seated us promptly and gave us wonderful service. But most importantly, the food was top notch. We got a summer special containing sushi, food, and a delicious dessert!

I have to say Iâve been to many places around the world and this is truly local place with jazz, the best thing a family atmosphere with the owner host working every table in such a personal manner. You really are made to feel welcome if you visit once or as luck as myself to visit many time. I always make a stop here when in Barbados

We ate here three times during our holiday as we often do, over the years we have been coming to Barbados. We always ask for a waterside table and got put in the middle of the restaurant. We were asked if we would mind waiting for 10 minutes (it ended up as 15) and we were put in what was in our opinion the best table, by the water, in the house. To accompany this we were entertained during our dinner by a tropical lightning storm in the distance. Our starters and my wifeâs main course were superb. My main course was rib eye steak of which a quarter was gristle and connective tissue. I pointed this out to the waitress who told me that fat adds to the flavour. I pointed out that I had eaten the fat and the steak and what was on my plate was gristle and connective tissue. She said she would talk to the chef.No one came back to our table after this until I asked for the bill. Now a quandary â do I make a fuss? We wanted to eat here again and not go to The Cliff as the general view of people we met (bar stewards hotel guests etc ) suggested âIf you havenât been, go so you can say you have. If you have eaten there before (and we have lots) donât bother going again.â So I asked Champers for âour best tableâ again in two days time and they said yes. On that occasion they served polenta with the duck breast instead of the garlic mash option I ordered. Quickly remedied but it should have been right first time. When they get it right this is an excellent place to eat.

Had a nice dinner here. I liked that there were two options of seating: fresh air outside or air-conditioned inside. Thankfully I sat inside as the heat from the day was still in the air that night. The overall space inside is intimate so you will hear other conversations going on. The members of staff are pleasant. The food was good comfort food as advertised. I had fried chicken and fries. I would say it is very good value for money.

The restaurant initially began as a wholesale distributor for the island's hotels and restaurants. Cooked takeaway service was added; along with a friendly free beer while you wait. Shortly after that the health inspector demanded we go the whole way or "
Sunday Jazz, cold Banks beer, Lobsters and view of the beach. What more could you ask for? The Jazz group was fun even if a little limited in their song list selections. The vibe was fun and relaxed. Since we were staying at a different area on the island it was fun to check out a higher energy, busier part of the island. Service was great. They made you feel very welcome. We rented a car and were able to park in the lot right next to the restaurant. It was very easy.

This out-of-the-way little restaurant on Barbados' south coast is the perfect place to savour tasty, well seasoned, fresh local fish. This is an UN-ostentatious, home-style little restaurant, where the owner is always on hand to make sure that the patrons are satisfied. The menu offers a good variety of dishes and drinks from which to choose, and the serving staff are always friendly and helpful. Shakers is definitely a must-do on any visit to Barbados!

Best fish cutters we had on our trip to Barbados. Really good with cheese (and topped with Bajan hot sauce). We were only in Barbados for 10 days and went many times. Really good value as well and right by a lovely beach! Always friendly service too.

Open 6 days a week from December to May and June to November, Monday to Saturday. Office Hours 9 am to 5 pm.
Stunning setting with excellent food. Book early if you would like a rail side table. The waterside views are great especially with the lit water and fire torches and lanterns. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious especially the potato gnocchi and Cajun swordfish. Really memorable evening.

This restaurant is a bit out of the way, but was really impressed with the service. Our waiter went through the menu thoroughly, and even provided us with drink recommendations. We had a BBQ meal and loved the Terra Cotta vibe of the surrounding. Truly a favourite spot during our vacation in Barbados.
