When staying in Bowling Green, we noticed the local travel literature recommended Steamers for good seafood. We tried it and were not disappointed. Steamers has a comprehensive menu containing its standard dishes (voodoo skillet, frogmore stew, etc.) as well as its 'catch of the day' offerings. I tried the shrimp etoufee and loved it. It was a sizable portion with the right amount of spice, plenty of shrimp and succulent sausage and vegetables. The atmosphere in Steamers was also to our liking - the restaurant is part of an older building rehabbed for use as a dining room with hardwood floors, exposed brick and modern art. Progressive rock (a welcome change from pop and hip hop) played through the speakers. And the wait staff were friendly, good looking college kids attending to our needs. We enjoyed our dinner and I expect if you visit, you will too. One more thing - when going, check out the unusual feature in the restrooms. No telling here - you have to go to Steamers to figure out that one! Thanks for giving us a try! We hope you'll be back again soon! Also, thanks for keeping some of our secrets.

We enjoyed the lunch menu, which allowed us to have soup & salads, seafood, & their great biscuits, for a reasonable price. Our waitress, BRITTANY, was exceptional, making our meal even more special.

This is Shogun's newest express location. Order at the counter, get your drink and they will call your number. Most of the meals are served in bowls. I had the Asian chicken salad which was enjoyable, and at 7.99, no more the a combo meal. A few draft beers are also available.
