We visited on Friday 18th October 2019. Ordered fish and chips with side. Looked delicious. Staff very helpful and served quickly. Then ordered battered halloumi and chips. When contemplating the side order and mentioning it needed to be vegetarian, very helpful staff member came up and said that the halloumi and chips was not strictly vegetarian as it is cooked in beef fat - despite it being advertised in the menu as âvegetarian.â We decided not to order, thanked staff for telling us and left. It was a shame as the food looked lovely.

I ordered the grilled lobster. There were only 2 things on the plate and they were both badly cooked. The tiniest half lobster was raw. The chips were a chocolate colour, black in places. How does a restaurant have trouble grilling a lobster and frying chips? Not a difficult task, in my opinion. But they got it very wrong!!!!!

Empty shop, nobody wandering the town with a chip wrapper in hand, dinner time. All the signs were there. So being blind to the signs I ordered pie and chips. Uh oh, not good, The chips were inedible, some solid, some crispy, seemed re fried, just horrid. The pie, well its bought in ! Never again, awful bad stomach today !We are very sorry that you felt let down on your visit. It appears that you are unlucky in your dining choices as all of your trip advisor reviews are negative! Please do call in again so we can offer you a refund :)

If the service was any quicker I would have missed it. Great value, quality veg, nice gravy. obviously cooked by a chief. Loverley atmosphere. Arrived 2.45 on a Sunday, the expected response for food in this area at this time is "no" we walked into " would you like a table!!!!Very enjoyable, thanks.
