Very unpretentious place with excellent food. There is a good choice to be had and our meals were great. I assume it was the owner and his wife serving when we went in and they were lovely. Prices were very reasonable.

What a wonderful meal, we had the rustic cataplana and we were not disappointed. From the service, food, desserts and wine I can not fault this place. If you are in the area then give it a visit, although it does get busy so maybe make a reservation to be sure

Looking at the other reviews, I can only assume the chef was having a bad day. The food was nothing special. My salad had so much raw onion on that it made everything taste of onion. The fish soup was ok. There was an extra charge for bread, butter and olives. The bill for 2 beers, one water and 3 courses was 30 euros. Would not make a return visit.

This is the best seafood restaurant in Portugal from the minute we arrived we were welcomed and advised on the fresh seafood on offer and told how they cook it and what to expect. The staff were amazing. The Fish was absolutely delicious and couldnât help looking at other peopleâs dishes so we can try something new next time. The staff will also help with how to eat the shellfish and shell the prawns for you. Absolutely outstanding place.

We were staying not so far and having tried a few restaurants and been disappointed we decided to drive around to find a restaurant. We had passed by this one previously during the day and when we arrived the car park was quite busy whilst it was only 7pm so stopped. There were a few tables which were available but many were reserved. I eat fish and was delighted to see they have a big barbecue to grill fish or meat. Some of us had fish and some meat and it was all very good. Will come back on a another trip for sure.

The lunch we had here was really top class. Lovely appetisers including quail eggs, octopus salad and marinated salmon. All meat made on the grill. Starters of sardines and prawns in oil and garlic were followed by the best lamb chops I've ever had (very generous portion of 7). Rib eye steak, chicken and pork with clams went down a storm. We chose the house reserva wines, the red was so good we took away a couple of bottles. All in all a brilliant lunch. Residents of Boliqueime are very lucky to have this restaurant and the Indian Masala Mantra right on their doorsteps.
