Had a great meal here. Had the pea soup as starter , fantastic. My daughter had the fish soup fantastic too . Curried monkfish main course was really tasty. Good wine selection. Friendly staff. Let us bring our dog to sit with us. More than happy to go again Delighted that you all enjoyed your lunch - and your dog was so well behaved I don't think any guests even realised she was in the restaurant.Thank you for your lovely review and I hope we may see you again.

First of all, you definitely need to book for a Saturday night, however, it is well worth it for the treat you will receive!Food is very good with good portions and well presented. The menu has a "fish" bias, however there is plenty of other choices. All I heard all evening were people sounding their appreciations of whatever was being put in from of them!Reasonable selection of wine.Well recommended

Worth mentioning that we have eaten here several times and regularly buy not small amounts from their fresh fish counter. As always, service from all of their staff is professional and some are friendly. The Fish and Chips ordered by 4 of our party were very tasty as expected. The turbot with chicken butter sauce and spring onions sounded an unusual flavour combination but I thought would give it a try as previous turbot dishes had been great; however, despite being advertised as roasted, the skin was quite slimy in texture, fish was bland and the pairing of the spring onions, sauce and corn was edible but an unfortunate combination at best. I'm afraid it looked odd and tasted the same.I would eat here again and continue to choose from the excellent fresh fish counter, but perhaps be more careful when ordering. I did give feedback to the staff but not really sure whether my comments went any further? It was a shame as celebrating my birthday and didn't enjoy my meal at all.Hello bonhomieUk,Thank you for your kind comments and constructive feedback which is very much appreciated. Please accept our apologies if the cooking of the turbot was not up to standard. I have spoken to the staff and unfortunately none of our front of house team fully appreciated your concerns on the day. Nevertheless we would welcome the opportunity to make amends. Please contact me personally ([email protected]) so I can make sure that your next visit is very special. Thank you.

This was our fourth visit to Amici, although this was the first at lunchtime. Excellent value lunch at just £7.95 for pasta or pizza. Good service, freshly cooked food and value for money. What else could you want ? Highly recommended Visit number five will be along very soon.
