The prices are 10-15 % too high in the resaturant and the meals is only average, but OK.But......Around the corner there is another restaurant which almost is a gourmet restaurant and with prices which are 10-20% lower than Locanda Tavernola so if they will survive, they have to do something with there standard.

I have been dining in this pizzeria/restaurant few times while on holidays in Sicily and I always enjoyed the pizza Sandokan with seafood that I often dream about. Its fresh ingredients make it just delicious. Also the staff is very friendly and Margherita is one of the nicest host you could ever met. Truly recommended venue to enjoy Sicilian dishes at their best.

We found this restaurant on Trip Advicer, and would never have found it otherwise. One of our top two restaurant experiences in Italy!Our family of four tried out the pizza, pasta and meat. Everything tasted delicious! The place was very buzy, even on a tuesday We had to wait for a while after finishing dinner before we got to order coffee and dessert, but the atmosphere and the friendly staff made everything worth it! Thank you so much for an evening to rememember! Love from Norway

The owner/chef certainly knows his haute cuisine, having travelled far and wide and he and his team offer exquisite well presented service in this new restaurant. The menu is novel and the wines of excellent quality.The locale is unfortunately not is a very good spot but his customers go there for the food not the views.

Era da tanto che volevo venire in questo ristorante e sono venuto in occasione di un pranzo di anniversario...ristorante con cucina a vista...e che vista dei prodotti! A partire dallâentree, passando dallâantipasto di salumi e treccia, candele all genovese squisite grazie forse allâaggiunta di besciamelle, ottima guancia per seconda e gelato con frutta. Anche la torta fatta da loro per questo anniversario non era male, forse stata in cottura 5 minuti in più. Sul conto non posso esprimermi, ma per il resto è il top.

Finalmente un punto di riferimento a Battipaglia per mangiare del buon pesce fresco e ben cucinato! Accoglienza e servizio davvero assolutamente soddisfacenti. Ottimo l'antipasto misto e gli scialatielli allo scoglio. La cheesecake ai frutti di bosco, dolci fatti in casa, è stata l'apoteosi. Conto assolutamente in linea con la qualità . Ci tornerò.

We stopped in this town because we were told this is THE town to get Mozzarella di Bufala (we were on the way to the old ruins of Paestum) ... Instead of searching for a shop with Mozzarella, we ended up in this cosy restaurant for lunch.We ate a carpaccio of beef with rucola, mozzarella with tomatoes, and after that we each had some pasta. The prices were very honest, the wine list was very good (a choice of cheap and more expensive wines). I couldn't think of a better spot to stop in this town for a good meal! Very friendly owner.

Decidiamo di fermarci lì a pranzo e scegliamo il menù del giorno. Antipasto di mare: polpetta di mare, che invece era un croquet di patate tondo con dentro uno o 2 bianchetti, 2 alici di numero, ed un cucchiaino di bianchetti. Passiamo al primo piatto, cortecce rosa ai gamberetti: pasta al sugo di pomodorini scottissima e fredda con dentro un solo gamberetto e addirittura con tutta la buccia! Una presa in giro bella e buona... Solo se proprio non avete altre alternative!
