Lucullus is an establishment that offers homemade recipes reinterpreted with originality in a bright location, modern and welcoming. The dishes are made from fresh fish and every dish is accompanied by a rich selection of local and national wines. The res
I live in the area and always pass by this restaurant that seems to float on the water. Deciding to finally try it, we enter in a sea themed restaurant. While the view is beautiful, I can't say much for the rest. We ordered the seafood appetizer of the house, which was priced â¬18. At this price I was expecting the usual abbundance of an Italian seafood antipasto. However, we were brought one plate of 6 small bites including a horrible rice dish, a few fried and baked pieces that seemed prepared (frozen). And that was it. We wanted to walk out after that, but decided to stay hopeful for our pasta dishes. The spaghetti with frutti di mare came with clams and mussels that were cold, obviously prepared for an earlier dish and weren't even reheated. The pasta itself was under salted and had no flavor. We were terribly disappointed. Don't wat here.

What an amazing bistro which we know will become a well-revered gourmet destination.Recently opened by folks who share a passion and vision for delicate flavors, we marveled at the inventive menu! The meal began with an amuse bouche served in a single serving spoon. The antipasti was a series of plates brought successively, offering shrimp served in a shot glass with a sauce at the bottom, cod, yellow tail served on veggies, and four or five others. There was a choice of 3 first courses to follow. One was a homemade pasta with raw tuna chiffonade with a delicious buttery sauce. I had the ravioli with shrimp, presented in the most amazing and inventive manner, with swaths of a luxuriously thick hazelnut sauce which was painted in thick brush strokes across the plate( photos to follow). The generous sized ravioli hand fashioned by a sculptor I am sure in the shape of squares, sat the the outer corner of the plate, adorned by translucent shrimp and red fish roe.( Need I say more....quite a gastronomic adventure.!!!!) One guest had a seafood ravioli with smoked cheese which was the least visually interesting. But the staff was so flexible that they created a risotto without seafood for another. For the second course, several selected a salmon with looked like it had been woven like a basket and brushed with a sesame honey glaze....a totally amazing taste sensation. Another had tuna coated with poppy and sesame seeds. This was the only disappointment. Apparently the tuna was just not as tender as other fish served. We followed the meal with a deconstructed tiramisu and several other unusual concoctions with chocolate and coconut. Another of Prosecco and local white wine helped round out quite a generous meal. Go soon and watch this team continue their ascent in the food world!

The place is strategically located in front of the beach (even if our room were facing the opposite side). The place is clean and neat, the personnel super friendly and helpful and the complementary breakfast served in the bar close to the pier is simply great. on the minus side the mattress is simply too hard and the room lack of some items that could make the place truly amazing Thank you so much...waiting to see you again! :)

Il Gabbiano is a location situated on the hill of Baia , the exclusivity of the place makes this a perfect place where you can organize events in a wonderful setting and also a restaurant where you can enjoy our Mediterranean delicacies with breathtaking
Had a business dinner with some guests and have to admit I was surprised with the lovely scenery and the excellent food and the good service.Very generous portion, tasty food ( scampi and sea salad for starters) and glorious main dishes ( pasta with "felon" crab sauce and linguine with clams extremely well done). Nice finish with lemon sorbet and great crostata with cream and Forrest tiny strawberry on top that had a lovely aroma. Not to mention the extremely good ratio between high quality and price. We will come back for sure

We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday in February 2014; one of the owners took care of us and he could not have been more accommodating. When we told him that one of us was a vegetarian he went to the kitchen and came back and asked if we would trust him; we did and what resulted was an amazing array of appetizers, each one more delicious than the last. Our pasta main courses were also good.Fortunately for us the restaurant was not busy on this off season afternoon because when the owner learned, after asking us the reason for our visit, that we were in Naples to attend a language school he insisted we speak only in Italian and he took the time to correct our grammar and offer vocabulary in Italian when we got stuck. In summary, excellent food and even better service.

Great little restaurant in port of Baia. Fresh seafood and al dente pasta (we had the linguine with crab which was yum), served with local wine and a personable service from the restaurants owner. What's not to like!

We went to this restaurant at 8pm because we didn't have any other choice. It was empty, no clients there. And we weren't welcomed properly. The waiters kept on moving the tables all the time! without even considering us present there. The menu board looks old and dirty and nobody speaks any basic English. The food is fine not more. we had pizza with clams. not that special.

This is a very welcoming trattoria that specialises in anchovies, mussels and salt cod â so no especial problems during the month of September when there is a ban on fishing in the Mediterranean! Servings are generous and the salt cod and rigatoni primo was one of the best we have tasted. I am seriously lactose intolerant and the kitchen looked after me perfectly â thank you! Italian and dialect spoken, so brush up on your menu Italian. On the main road, just after entering Bacoli when travelling from Pozzuoli, the best place to park is in a supervised car park about 50 metres further on, on the same side of the road (â¬3). About â¬90 for two for a three-course meal with wine, water and coffee.
