This place is located on the main road and parking can be difficult at peak times. We were staying at a hotel which was walk-able distance so it worked well for us. We came here for a dinner, an impromptu team dinner but were lucky to find places as the place was almost full. The food itself tasted good, but the portion and price leave a feeling of hunger in the stomach. The service was slow but it was expected going by the nature of the place. The restaurant is located in a building with some historical significance and they seem to ride on its popularity.

My wife and I are retired Canadian professionals living in Frankfurt for 18 months. Today, between Christmas and New Years Eve, it was overcast and foggy and wet, and we decided to explore the narrow cobblestone streets of the incredibly beautiful little towns of Kronberg and Konigstein, with their timeless estate/residences. We had made reservations at Miro's (highly recommended) because we assumed, rightly, that the local residents would be a good gastronomical influence! Miros is located on a hillside overlooking the valley below. The exterior is unassuming; the interior is very nicely decorated, warm and welcoming, with linen tablecloths. The owner himself seated us at a table with a view.If readers look at the comments on the attached photos, they will see why we were so delighted with the meal. The flavours and presentation were excellent. The ambience is such that families will enjoy dining, as well as couples looking for a memorable experience. (Why dine at other fine restaurants where the stuffy, stiff formality creates gastric ulcers?)The cost of the meals is entirely reasonable for the high quality and absolute professionalism. We will be back again to explore the menu. Bravo Mirwais!Thank you very much! You have to come back on a sunny day to take a look out of our windows an to see the great panorama. And of course, to explore the menu.We are looking forward to see you, kind regardsMiro

From walking in the door everything was excellent. Very friendly welcome to start and thanks to the lovely weather we could sit outside on the pleasant terrace. The service is professional and friendly. The Aperitifs came quickly and the starter (Burrata) was very good followed by an excellent Saltimbocca. For my diet I left the Tartufo for another time.Over the years we have been here many times and have many friends who also love to come.

The food here never ever disappoints. Even if I occasionally eat one of my non-favourite fish types, the chef's sheer talent makes it the most delicious meal I've ever had :-) Of course he is very fastidious in his selection of fish that he buys in, and always makes everything fresh. I have been many times for lunch and I will go there many times more. Every time I take business guests there for lunch they always ask to go there again the next time they visit me. Just a note: this is basically a fish-monger who has a cafe on the side for the meals. It is NOT a fancy restaurant (and neither should it be)... in some ways it reminds of the fish stalls at markets, where they also have some tables on the side and serve freshly cooked versions of their wares - it works here very well !!!

TAIPAN is a huge restaurant with little atmosphere but great food at great prices! Very good optionif you want dinner and have kids that are choosy/picky: they can try everything on offer and (we are a large, extended family) always find something. Kids pay half price at the buffet up to 11 years. The Sushi, as has been said, is not that great but the hot starters usually are. Avoid the sesame balls, though: dough only and very little taste. The duck is delicious, crispy and not at all fatty (get that first of all, everyone wants it!!). I always have the "Acht Kostbarkeiten" which I think translates as "Eight Treasures" and the "Hot Szehuan Beef" which is not really that spicy. But leave some room for the specialty: the Mongolian Grill, where you place your favorite ingredients on a plate, add your choice of sauce and get it stir-fried. If the restaurant is full, that can take up to 30 minutes! The choices for dessert are limited; lots of people love the baked bananas (very sweet!), we usually have some fresh fruit with chocolate from their fountain which the kids love especially.
