This new fish house could be a welcome addition to Avalon's dining scene, especially considering the number of restaurants that have disappeared over the past few years and the generally mediocre quality of those that remain. Dumb name (pronounced "Endemic") but whatever. The menu includes some original combinations, not too spendy, and our meal was OK without being great. Still, the fish was fresh and there are doubtlessly many bugs to be worked out. Worth a try...We take pride in our brand and means a lot to us locals, a company that was created on this island. We started as a clothing company in 2014 which has evolved into a restaurant. The restaurant is only a few months old and will take some time to work out all the kinks, thanks for you patience and support POOCHkin.
We stayed here for a few nights. Although the room was small, it was clean and very attractive, quiet at night. The rooftop deck is a wonderful place to enjoy the panoramic views and take in all of Catalina. The continental breakfast was plentiful and can be enjoyed on the front sidewalk patio.

Decided to try here for quick lunch before our tour. Cute place on pier. Ordered fish and chips combo with 2 shrimp to share. 2 kind of skinny fish prices were just ok. Not much flavor. Chips(fries) your skinny out of bag variety. View was nice but would skip the food next time. Surprised at positive reviews on food

The lobster was too obviously frozen since it was watery making the taco shell soggy. The crab cakes have too much meal mixed in to be called crab cakes. Halibut sandwich very good. Staff friendly and efficient. Fun, atmospheric little restaurant.

We sat out on the deck on a cool night but the heaters worked great. Our server was super knowledgeable of the menu and wine list and we felt very well taken care of, not rushed at all, despite sitting down early on a Saturday night. They have a great CA wine selection and the food tasted great! We will definitely be back!

Avalon's waterfront dining, located at the foot of the Green Pleasure Pier, is open Monday - Friday for lunch, Saturday and Sunday for brunch, and daily for dinner. Avalon Grille features American regional dishes with a seasonal approach, paired with a wo

Our last night there and we had no reservations. Just happened upon Steve's and what a wonderful choice. Food is delectable, and, although there were some technology issues that evening, the service staff overcame any wait or hiccup and made the evening even better! It's a must-do if on the island! Dear Guest,I am glad our 'hiccups' didn't interfere with you having a wonderful experience and dining with us was the perfect finale to your stay on the island. It is always rewarding to receive such positive feedback. Thank you for taking the time to share your comments on TripAdvisor. We value your business and appreciate you dinning with us and recommending us as a must do on the island. I hope your trip to Catalina was memorable and you will visit again sometime. We look forward to welcoming you back to the island and to Steve's. As always, it will be our pleasure to serve you. With warm regards from Catalina,Steve and Margaret Bray and our family at Steve's Steakhouse & Seafood
