Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Astoria. Historic Astoria is the oldest American settlement west of the Rocky Mountains, first established as a fur trading post before it expanded to become the bustling port city it is today. Its storied past is documented in numerous museums, from the Columbia River Maritime Museum with its collection of nautical relics to the Uppertown Firefighters Museum, whose collections of firefighting memorabilia is complimented by the interactive Children's Museum on the second floor.

This little shop on Pier 39 is outstanding. My wife and I stumbled on this quite by accident while exploring Astoria, OR. Stop by for bite of some of the area's tastiest sea morsels, but don't limit yourself to the seafood. Engage the man behind the counter in some conversation, don't be bashful. Ask anything about the area, clamming, fishing or Oregon, he is a wealth of knowledge. I will definitely be back for some fresh crab (not crabs - learned that from Tony) and another education.

Ship Inn used to have the best fish and chips before it closed down. Enola's has picked up where Ship Inn left off. They have wonderful beer battered fish and chips with a variety of options for the type of fish. They also have wonderful hamburgers that I feel are the best in the area. If you liked Ship Inn, then come here. If you never tried Ship Inn, then come here. It is worth the trip.

South Bay Wild is a small, family owned & operated commercial fishing vessel harvesting and marketing high quality sustainable seafood using a triple bottom line approach, working out of Astoria, Oregon.
FUN setting (even on a gloomy day), casual dining and great service. The chowder is the best Iâve had this trip (and weâve had some exceptional chowder). Our Bahn Mi (sandwich) was terrific (people sitting around us had the fry bread, tacos and fish ân chips - they all raved. Bless the local who pointed us here!

Josephson's Smokehouse is easy to find, has parking, and has a huge selection of smoked seafood to purchase and take with, as well as a limited number of restaurant food. The clam chowder was thick, with lots of clams. The salmon burger was outstanding, the most salmon-y and fresh tasting salmon burger I have ever enjoyed. We had a nice meal, a warm welcome and a genuinely local experience.

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon because we heard Clementeâs had the best crab cakes in Astoria. The bartender was awesome and her service was great, but thatâs as good as our experience got. The crab cakes were far too salty and there was not a single piece of lump meat in either cake, they were all leg meat...very disappointing. The side salad that came with them was far better. Would not recommend.

Went here for our anniversary and had a wonderful meal. We made our reservation that afternoon and they weren't sure we could get a window table, but it ended up working out! We sat with an incredible view of the Columbia just before sunset! The food was excellent and our waitress was very sweet. He had a dessert which they lit on fire at our table and was delicious. It was a great anniversary dinner all the way around! Thanks!

Very fun bar vibe and classy. We ordered off the bar menu-very reasonable prices and portions very adequate. Michelle, a bartender there, was a pleasure. Answered all our questions-multiple times. If youâre in Astoria itâs an enjoyable bar.

Smaller restaurant, with a bar, a bit eclectic and funky. Located in the older downtown part of Astoria(?). We had reservations but probably would have not really needed them. For appetizers we had the Pacific Rim Cheesebread. Really decent. Lots of flavour and melty cheese goodness! We had the Clam Chowder - fantastic, the Seafood Cobb Salad - also fantastic, and the Tortellini No desert!!Good service, polite staff.

The view is great, the glass floor with the sea lions is fun, and food is wonderful! The atmosphere is pub like. The wait staff busy, but helpful. The clams I had were the best I've ever had. In fact everyone at my table thought so, so we came back the next day so they could order them. Great!
