Things to do in Argeles-sur-Mer

Restaurant with a large terrace (view of the harbor), serving fresh fish, mussels, French meat and giant pockets (specialty). Open all day, we also offer our guests pancakes, waffles and smoothies ... as well as various drinks. (Hot or cold)
Fantastic setting at the port with great views and seemingly great looking food. Anything good about the place stops there. My first visit was with my 2 children and their 2 cousins. We had 3 of their great looking chicken brochettes. They arrived after ten minutes and I was surprised at the speed as the chunks of chicken were large. Realised after 30 seconds that they were all raw in the middle. Sent them back and they were heated through and we ate them. Problem solved, albeit a cardinal sin for any chef to serve raw white meat, particularly to children.I liked the venue so much though that I gave it a 2nd chance. Wrong. My fiancées burger arrived literally raw on the inside. Not pink, raw. I am a foodie and like meat pink and succulent. I am not squeamish but raw mince falling apart on the plate isnât good. If we wanted tartar weâd have ordered it. Sent back, re-cooked, just.I ordered the moules frites. Nothing easier to cook, particularly in France youâd think. Nah. Most shells empty the large majority only just open. I made the mistake of eating a few.4 days in bed. A shocking place that ruIned the 2nd week of my holiday. Donât be seduced by the place Just walk past it.

We Have eaten here twice. The menus is basic French cuisine. Moderately priced. We mostly go for Moules or burgers. Itâs over looks the beach & itâs surrounded on all sides by restaurants offering similar fare.

We took our grandchildren into Argeles for a meal and chose this restaurent as they love moules frites. I don't like moules and the alternatives were very limited and the steak I had was a bit rough but I cannot complain as moules are a speciality and everyone else really enjoyed them and were impressed by the wide variety. It was a very popular place and the two staff worked very hard and with a positive and cheerful attitude.Would have scored it five stars except for my steak and that the bread arrived at the end of the meal. Very good value for money.Dear GeoffTidd, Thank you for your comment. My team and I even do our best to satisfy our customers. We are sorry if your steak was served last and if we do not offer other option. Indeed, our restaurant has specialty for mussels, fries.Thank you for choosing our restaurant.Best regards, Lili

Went here twice and we weren't unhappy on either occasion. The fish counter is like any regular fish shop but here you choose your fish and then they prepare and serve on a bed of ice. Laid back place and offering something genuinely different. Check which days they are open. Fish soup isn't bad either.

The restaurant name says it all. The exterior decor and the table covers reflect the blue and the menu is primarily seafood. We took the "Menu du Pecheur" On sitting at the table we were presented with 2 pastry slices, perhaps crisp at lunchtime but now a bit soggy. The main courses are huge, but a bit indelicate. My grilled squid and langoustines were tasty but served on a plate with amongst other items, a stuffed tomato and a tower of rice. Just too much food. I would rather experience quality rather than quantity. The service was efficient but lacked the personal touch of a smaller establishment. So, two glasses of champagne, two menus and a bottle of house wine came to 97 Euros - it felt like quite a lot for a rather undistinguished meal.

Such a nice place with fantastic staff - sweet and genuin, we felt very welcome. And the food was great, very nice flavors, the grilled tomatoe was really something special. But extra plus to the amazing five star staff!

A great find. Visited for lunch and dinner. Really nice relaxed setting to eat out or inside. Excellent food, very friendly staff and polite professional service. Menu choice to meet all tastes...though the fish is superb. Great value for money. Cant wait to be back there in April.
