Iam visiting this restaurant regulary during my september stays in Toscana. It is worth trying but it also is important to know the right choices. One of them are delitious rasor clams baked in pizza owen as a starter. They could be very salty, so ask for less salt! Basically any pasta with clams or shells is good and tasty. My favorite is nochi con vongole in creamy and spicy sauce. As a main You never do mistake if You choose a fish (sea bass) in salt. The fish is always fresh. This restaurant is only open from friday to sunday. I have never tried pasta and I would not reccomend the moore complicated dishes. It can be very crowded and the owner is working there wih his wife, so be patient....

Thanks to the reviews on tripadvisor we had dinner. We went for a suggestion namely antipasto mix of seafood. Both raw and warm delights prepared by the chef!! Something different then the average cuisine. Money well spend!!

There is only one drawback: The Menu. The chef has decided to offer a menu that is filled with unique animal body parts (e.g. heart) and unique blends (e.g. gnocchi with herring and parsley). There are very few traditional Italian, Tuscan or Chianti favorites. Everything else about the restaurant is AMAZING including the kind and knowledgeable waiter/host, the modern interior design, the handmade drinking glasses and dinnerware, the scrumptious breads and the service. Would I dine here again? Probably not until the menu changes. Would I recommend it? No.

I stopped by for lunch at Ristorante Da Ciccio (open everyday but Tuesday). The service is attentive, personable and with a smile. The food is tasty with typical Tuscan traditional favorites. I paid only 20 Euros for table service, sparkling water, wine, a pasta starter, a meat entree and a side dish of spinach. Excellent value. Would I return? Yes of course. Would I recommend it? Yes of course.

Great view but only on a small terrace which is permanently âreservedâ even though 4 out of six tables are empty. Waitresses doesnât speak english at all and try to avoid any contact with foreigners. Prices for food are overrated and quality of food could be better.

Specializing in Tuscan Cuisine, Seafood, and Pizza cooked in wood oven. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere indoors, and a large garden area for warmer days that can occupy more than 150 guests. Very children friendly, take away Pizza, and items from the
Stayed in a nearby villa and had dinner here twice with all 10 of us. Laura, the hostess and owner was great, wonderful personality, friendly and when she found out we were all Italian, it was like old home week. Food was more than fine, great portions, well priced and the service was great. We ate out on the terrace on a beautiful night and it was a terrific experience for all of us. We went back a second time and just as good. Would not hesitate to recommend or go back on our next trip back to Tuscany.Dear Catcher10us,Thank you so much for your kind comment. We are happy you enjoyed your meals with us, and hope that you enjoyed your stay in Tuscany. Please come by again the next time you and your family are back!

Excellent, amazing food freshly prepared by Antonio the chef. Great choice in the menu from delicious meats, fish and traditional pasta dishes. Fantastic wine choices and huge variety of aperitifs, and digestives. And the price, very reasonable for what one gets!!We can only recommend this restaurant, in a beautiful setting with great ambiance....Christina & Frederik

Award winning chef Marialuisa Lovari's restaurant at Il Verreno Resort. Modern Tuscan cuisine and an updated take on Tuscan style in our luxurious rooms. Situated above the town of Ambra with views across the Val d'Ambra hills.
We had an amazing night here, nothing could be faulted. First the food, it was delicious! There were three 4 course degustation menus. One meat, one fish and one vegetable. Or you could choose any two dishes off any menu. We opted for meat and a fish. Each course really celebrated the main ingredient. Every plate looked so beautiful, you could really see the love that the chefs put in to it. I particularly loved the octopus and chickpea stew, the red prawn ravioli and the desert of cheese cake. The service from the host was really friendly and informative, she even showed us one of the rooms just off the dinning room (its was lovely, we wished we were staying that night!) We had a wonderful evening here and would recommend anyone to visit!Thank you, so glad you enjoyed our lovely Marialuisaâs food. As a new place we are especially grateful for such a positive review.
