ideal to go there to sit, chat and have a little snack (but of high quality); they have there the wonderful home made local "petiscos" (little snacks, best compared to the Spanish "bocadillos")

This place looks very nice, has a good bar and seafood counter. They were full because it was Motherâs Day when we visited so were unable to sample the food. Will be interested to hear other reviews before our next visit.

We were touring Pousadas which generally have good restaurants, but the arrival of a full coachload of SAGA folk sent us scuttling into town. With guidance from Trip advisor we found O Ninho but almost kept going as it is not impressive. However once inside, the number of locals confirmed it should be good and it proved to be one of our best meals in Portugal. Fabulous fresh salads, real home made soups, a mountain of steak and perfectly cooked potatoes with local wine. Senior Ninho only has about 10 words of English, but is very friendly and patient with our zero speaky Portugese. Excellent monster meal with good wine for 4 people - only 70 Euros!

Very good food, and exceptional, helpful service. We had couverts, Veal in cream sauce, and Sea Bass. Both meals were well cooked, and generous portions. Good value for money too! We had a local speciality for desert, the name escapes me, but it was a meringue top on a walnut cake. Will definitely return, the young lady that served us was so helpful !!

This small restaurant with a patio at the street with plastic furniture still attracks the attention. Why? I don't know. Maybe because it looks simple and humble. Anyway the food (seafood and fish) was excellent and the white Alentejo wine of Adega da Borba could'nt be better with this fresh food.A huge surprise.Very friendly and easy going serving. Nearby are the locally famous "Cais PalafÃtico da Carrasqueira", wooden quays on high wooden poles to stand out the tides. That's where the fishermen bring in their catch. An absolute must to visit.
