This restaurant is part of a small hotel of the same name. I stayed here 1 night, and met one of my colleagues for dinner. Was given nice table at the window, with no complaint that 2 people were taking up a table for 6! I had steak pie, while my colleague had scampi. Food pretty much ok, but not very exciting. Service was good and the view was excellent, so Four-stars from me. I would eat here again, especially if arriving lateish to get a room at the hotel. (I think last orders in the restaurant are 8:30pm)Good morning, Thank you for taking the time to review us, we really do appreciate all feedback! I will ensure your comments are passed on to the rest of the team. Kind regards,Linda & GH Team

Our 3rd time here. As usual, food it really good, the thali is a good choice. I would say, however, not as good as it has been. A couple of chicken dishes, the pieces were overcooked. Also, the service needs to be better organised and more friendly. Some training wouldnt go amiss. Hope this was an off day due to a busy Father's Day.

Fabulous Cafe serving fresh food, all made on the premises. We offer up a daily changing variety of goods Former Victorian Bowling Pavilion which has been converted into a sympathetic café set in lovely gardens. Dog area.. Fresh Friendly Fabulous
What a lovely little place. In order to break up our day doing the sights around Montrose we visited the Pavilion Cafe. We fancied some proper food, not the standard fair as found in some of the other local outlets, my goodness, we were not disappointed; a chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich, 2 omelettes, a potatoes soup and a Panzanella salad. All of this was delicious homemade food. The setting is also very nice; an old, well kept/restored pavilion turned into a cafe (hence the name, I guess), on a bowling green in a leafy area of town. It seats around 20 with a few picnic tables outside. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the high street and at the time of our visit there was ample parking. So, if you want proper home made food in a quiet area of town with a lovely atmosphere, come here. So happy with your lovely review, thank you so much for taking time to post.Reviews like yours really help my little independent café in a difficult market.
