Great for teas, coffees and home baking - community centre run by the locals
We stopped here for a bite while meandering around Harris. The toasties were delicious, the scones very nice and the tea good. Service is attentive but this is a community centre, where you're welcomed as a guest, not catered to like a customer.

Very disappointed in our recent visit for a family meal. The waiting staff where the worst I have experienced. Especially the managing waitress. She was loud, unfriendly, dressed unprofessionally in ripped jeans and hopeless at her job. The food was just OK. Fish pie was very heavily flavoured with mustard. The Harris lamb did not have much flavour. I doubt it was local Harris lamb. Portions where very small. The view is all that was good about this resturant.

Restaurant is within Hotel Hebrides, open to residents and non-residents alike. Specializes in local produce, especially seafood. Open April to September and for special occasions.
We enjoyed an evening meal and breakfast here. In the evenin* we had a potion of hake, which was deli and beautifully cooked, and a portion of vegetarian curry, also delicious. For breakfast we had smoked haddock and poached egg, again beautifully cooked and generous portion size (very helpful as we were on a cycling holiday). The only reason I have not rated this 5* Is because the service 2as slow, although the staff were lovely.

The night we were there the set menu was cullen skink, loin of venison and a cheese board that would not be out of place in France - but all the cheeses were from Scotland, and all the better for it. We had no room for the dessert, which did look tempting. Friendly, efficient service and the owners talked everyone in the dining rooms. A great start to our holiday in Harris! Highly recommended. Thank you for your lovely review. We hope that you enjoyed your visit to Harris.

We booked a table for two at Harris Hotel following a recommendation. Service was excellent and attentive (best we had all week) and the food was great too. We had the salmon and the duck followed by sticky toffee pudding and creme brûlée with teas. Lovely place to sit and enjoy good food. Would recommend but make sure you book table as seemed busy!

Oh my goodness this was good! We had dinner on a Thursday evening, quite early, and it was so well cooked. My OH had calamari to start, which was so well cooked without that thick, greasy batter that is normal. I had beef carpaccio and it was so tender I didnât need a knife! I then had fish pie that was delicious (although it came with 3 bits of bread that were too much!) and OH and very much enjoyed it. We both had pudding-ice cream for OH and cranachan for me, both very good. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. It was obviously popular and was starting to get quite busy as we left. We will definitely return here when we are next in Harris!

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this restaurant. Excellent many and drinks available, at very reasonable prices. Attentive staff and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Will definitely be back, if I ever return to Harris

Fully deserving of all the 5 star reviews. Chris cooked for us in our holiday accommodation and he produced the most wonderful meal making the whole process look effortless. His food is amazing; creative and delicious. Crab, lobster, cod, Arbroath smokies, chocolate even fuchsias and viola petals are included in his imaginative array of artistic creations. His tuile biscuit in the shape of Harris and Lewis is a truly lovely touch. Don't miss Chris and Nicola's new chocolate shop at Talla Na Mara!
