We stay every year at Hilton Craigendarroch and just love it. The prices before were very expensive, but now, it has totally changes into a top rate restaurant and bar, with prices which are affordable in fact they sell the cheapest pint in Ballater. The staff are very friendly and the surroundings are lovely. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone especially as the prices are so affordable
Good range of food options , something for everyone. I opted for the mushroom and beet pie veggie option a weird combination but it was delicious . The restaurant is comfortable and the bar well stocked . Staff were welcoming and friendly Worth a visit if in the area

Located in The Fife Arms in Braemar, The Clunie Dining Room is the hotel's restaurant. With menus created by Head Chef Magnus Burstedt, The Clunie Dining Room showcases the best of Scottish produce and ingredients. The interior of the restaurant has been
The food was really nice, one vegetarian option on the mains (this is in the Clunie room). When we sat down the waitress offered us water but didn't tell us it was bottled and £4, found that out with the bill. My wife looked enviously on at everyone's bread rolls as we didn't get one, until halfway through our main when we asked for one and realised it wasn't part of a starter and we had just missed out. Our coats were hung up for us but no offer to retrieve, luckily I saw where they were so got myself. I mean, none of that really matters normally but the restaurant is really expensive so it does start to matter then. Will just eat in the main pub next time.

The Pavilion Cafe is a warm and comfortable spot for a morning coffee, light lunch or afternoon tea. Elegantly furnished, with touches of the Duke of Rothesay tartan, the cafe has a beautiful outlook on to the grounds of the Princess Royal and Duke of Fif
My husband and I had lunch here on Saturday, so delighted we returned on Monday. The food is fresh, local, imaginative and dietary requirements are catered for. Staff are friendly, well trained and efficient. The decor is beautiful and the pavilion is situated in the Braemar Highland games park. Beautiful and serene scenery. Everything was perfect for us and will highly recommend here to our friends. The exhibition is apart from the restaurant. The price for the food is reasonable for the quality and the size of the portions. Will return here.

A family run coffee house and restaurant servicing locally sourced ingredients for Traditional Scottish and Authentic Italian Cuisine.
After doing a bit of golf, walking and touring of the beautiful Cairngorm National Park which is still wind turbine free we decided to head back to Buchan via Glenshee, Braemar and Ballater. For lunch we stopped at Braemar and visited the same café as we did the last time we stopped here. This was a special request from the boys who thoroughly enjoyed the hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows last time round. Safe to say it was smiles all round after lunch which makes a visit to the local burger joint look expensive yet we enjoyed fresh fruit, vegetables and good home cooking along with the hot chocolate drinks during our visit. As I said to the girls on the way out 'see you next year '.

Our family made a return visit to Moorfield House having last been there 2 years ago.The welcome was warm and we enjoyed the cask ales in the bar, then were shown through to the dining room. Some of us had starters and some had desserts (no-one managed both!) and the food was amazing!Favourites were the venison burger, served with really well-seasoned fries, and the duck breast. The chocolate tart for dessert was also really nice.Weâd definitely recommend the Moorfield House - just make sure you phone ahead to make sure thereâs space!Thank you very much for your review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your meal with us, it is always great to see returning guests coming to stay or eat in our hotel.

Full breakfast menu, hot filled rolls and a wide snack menu. Lunch menu with daily specials. Wide selection of delicious home made cakes and scones. With a good choice of gluten and dairy free options available.
We all enjoyed our meal; I had the Macaroni cheese which was scrummy though a little expensive but Braemar is out of the way and a seasonal destination (if thereâs no snow), so this is understandable and acceptable. This and other places to eat can get full quickly when tourist coaches arrive.

Another delicious meal in this bistro. Good selection on menu and service welcoming and efficient. Smoked salmon starter was delicious followed by a healthy portion of venison casserole which was very tasty. This isnât fine dining but it is good value and high quality. This place consistently delivers.

We visited for dinner and it was delicious. The hotel is beautiful with a wonderfully tasteful Scottish theme as befitting a hotel in the Highlands. Great menu choice and so reasonably priced. The rib eye was delicious and the puddings are to die for. Gorgeous open fire in the lounge. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The owner Fiona is a really lovely lady. Would totally recommend this hotel.LorraineThank You for your reviewRonnie / Fiona
