On the North coast of Zealand about 1 hours drive north of Copenhagen we have foundrestaurant H C Andersen huset. I don't don't think anybody will offended if the location is described as somewhat off the beaten track. The food and the service in this old inn is however anything but 'off track'! It is surprisingly good ( in some cases even great) and is certainly a de-tour worthy.A la carte looks pretty old school Danish but the daily menu is Franco-Nordic at is best and took us by surprise. The combination of fresh local produce and good craftsmanship at reasonable prices makes H C Andersen Huset one of the islands best kept secrets. The owner and front of house - Heidi , also a competent sommelier, brings charm and class to the friendly service.Dear JPI was speechless when I read your Review. When guests really appreciate what has taken my husband and I - and of course our lovely staff 20 years to build up. I get so humble. From the bottom of my heart - Thank youRegards Heidi

This restaurant is actually in the Radisson Hotel. Went here on a Sunday night, with friends. We had the fish roe for starter (see pics) which was very very good. For mains we had entrecôte x 2, Chicken n Burger. Entrecôte and Chicken very good, burger was average. When we wanted to order dessert, we were told kitchen was closed. When we arrived and given our menus, nothing was mention. I would expect the waiter to inform us on arrival or when we were given menus, that the kitchen closes early and that no dessert would be available or inform us to order desserts early. Very disappointed... never had this in any other restaurant. Also, waiter was stingy with the wine and poured different measures to us. We were all drinking wine by the glass. Personally, I had 3 glasses of wine, and every time I was poured less than my friends. I did mention it the first time, but didnât bother after that, coz he took no notice.A real shame coz the food was great. But the dessert issue should never have occurred and the wine issue was just plain annoying. After dinner, we wanted a drink in the bar, but was told bar was closed, despite people sitting in bar and outside drinking. No explanation given... We left...HelloI´m so sorry for you experiance Sunday evening. This is of course not ok ! I would like to invite you back, so you can get the "right" feeling and service here at Nelly´s Food Etc. Contact me at [email protected], Christina

They were flexible in changing our reservation time as well as us being late for dinner. It was later in the evening so there were no seating after us. The interior and decor is very basic. The inside is nothing impressive. I think it lacked charm and coziness. I've been to a number of Michelin restaurants and I feel like it should have been more impressive. The service and server was great , friendly and knowledgeable. The wines they paired w the courses were excellent!! Well done I would say. The food was delicious and we both enjoyed our dishes. I just wish the restaurants interior had more character to it.

I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant as part of a business trip in June. I have never been to a restaurant like it as I normally like to know what I am eating before I choose the restaurant. What a wonderful night we had. Fabulous food and wine. Each dish had been carefully produced and tasted delicious with each wine there to compliment. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Small cafe with a unique location on the harbor in Gilleleje, where the active fishermen, boat builders and marine painters can be followed from the terrace and balcony. We serve local and homemade specialities - e.g. to enjoy in our brunch, cold dishes,
Nice and good restaurant harbour front, we ate delicious fish with nice view and the waiters were very kind !

The dinner menu is somewhat limited, but has some surprises. Regardless, the served dishes are prepared well and served by a very friendly staff. A bit pricey perhaps, but then again almost everything in Sweden is.General warning: only normal coffee is served. No espresso or cappuccino here.

How much fun can you have?? Vi lagar maten från grunden och värnar om råvaran. Och det får lov att ta tid.
Had a great night at AnJo! Our first visit, definitely not our last. Genuinely good service and deep knowledge of food and wine. We had a three course meal and everything was perfect. Even tried a quite different kind of wine, that surprisingly was fabulous with the course.
