Vilken fin upplevelse.Hit åker vi gärna igen.

The restaurant was rated as 8 from 10. If that is true the other restaurant will probably be michelin level (LOL).Atmosphere is good, personel friendly and accomodating, food is excellent. Yes, somewhat crowded but hey; for less then 1000 SEK for four persons that's what you should expect.Nice bottle of wine (marques de riscal) served with a wine cooler; that is how it is done.

From the restaurant one has a very nice vieuw of lake Siljan and "langbryggen". The staff is very friendly and the food excellent. One should try the barbecued tunafish and a dessert With warm cloudberries and icecream..

Went for a christmas package-weekend including all food. 5 course dinner first evening *****, superb. And a great traditional christmas buffé next day. Quality on food at the buffé and atmosphere is fantastic. All at a reasonable price ! The Mansion is located beautifully by lake siljan, and has an interesting history that they share with their guests.

Village restaurant in Nittsjö, with a focus on local ingredients and run by married pair Jonathan & Genevieve Bjurenstedt (chef & sommelier). Even the plates are locally made at the Nittsjö Ceramic factory During the summer we take the restaurant outside
Very friendly staff, not so many dishes but the once at hands where just great. Birch barbecue Inte patio, seatings in the garden. Good place for kids and dogs allowed. This is the place to go in Rättvik area

We have dined here several times and the food, always excellent, seems to be ever improving! I think the palette of palates has widened, offering even more nuances and variety than before. The dessert of strawberry-marinated strawberries (!) with crunchy grains is fantastic and unlike anything I've tasted elsewhere. Opening hours and reservation process are very convenient, the atmosphere friendly and informal. Plenty of outdoor seating from which to contemplate the magnificent view--tables for the entire meal, or just seats and sofas to enjoy drinks with a blanket if it's chilly.

We went for a lunch, which was very tasty, although a bit pricy for a lunch. The hotel and restaurant are a piece of genuine Dalecarlia athmosphere, very pictureque! There are also some handicraft stores where you can buy handicraft from both Dalecarlia as well as some other areas of Sweden, most of it with good quality.

Spectacular. We had a three course a la carte menu and each mouthful was a delight. The food was decidedly Swedish, with ingredients such as venison, trout and perfect heirloom vegetables. The cooking style is modern, with a myriad of perfectly complemented flavours on each plate, smallish servings (although three courses filled us up), and a little foam on occasion.Service was also exemplary, although we may have been a little overcompensated to after I had a tantrum that we were initially told the restaurant was full--as hotel guests we should have been warned well before we arrived that the restaurant was likely to be booked out---it was the primary reason we were staying at the hotel. (We didn't make a reservation well in advance as we were unsure what time of the evening we would be arriving after a very long journey). The price was expensive, even for Scandinavia, but the quality of the food and service meant that it ended up being very good value. There is a children's table set up with some simple food for kids to eat, which was a fantastic idea---the style of cooking here would never lend it itself to a kid's menu of chicken nuggets and pizza, so it was good to see they didn't even try.
