Reviews on Scandinavian food in Skagen, Jutland, Denmark. A large, busy harbor doesn’t dampen the charm of Skagen’s older neighborhoods, which offer distinctive yellow houses, great museums, ceramic and glass art galleries, and bike rental outlets. Harbourside restaurants serve fish fresh off the boats. If you’re used to Caribbean beaches, this will take some getting used to, but we bet Skagen’s craggy charms will win you over.

Our lunch here was quite good. The portions were huge, but the prices were quite high as well. The service was OK.Average plus.Look for more reviews by MulleEllum.

We arrived in Skagen by sailboat, looking forward to revisiting the places we had enjoyed several years ago. We tried this harbourside restaurant for dinner. One of us had fish and chips. Firstly, just served warm and the fish was certainly not a fresh filet but reassemble fish sticks from the freezer section. Fries were barely warm. 98kr and disappointing. The beef burger for another was average at best. The mixed platters of shrimp and shrimp salad and pancake with shrimp were fine but did not blow the other two diners away. Service was okay. I would not go back as I expected great seafood and I get better at home.

Even if you haven't warmed to traditional open faced danish sandwiches these guys will very probably convert you. Food is great (you may even find out what the veterinary ate late at night) and they have siggestions for schnaps that goes with the various dishes. Staff are very friendly, helpful (well, they are danes after all) and attentive.

I had dinner here in the upstairs restaurant on a Monday evening in July. Great atmosphere and good menu choice. Food was very good - I had oysters and half a lobster. Service started as being very good but deteriorated by the time I got to desert as most of the staff had disappeared and I had to wait a long time for the final course and for the bill. Very busy and making a reservation in advance seems to be essential if you want the main restaurant.

Our lunch was very good, contrary to several experiences over a long time before this visit. This was unexpected and really a pleasant surprise. This time we had fried filets of plaice.I hope the change will last. Promise? Please?Look for more reviews by MulleEllum.

Picture of the regular stjerneskud. Food was fine/average/good. We all had fish because we were in Skagen. Though from hearing the customers talk, I think it would have been better to order the dish of the day even though it might not be seafood. Apparently, the locals come for the dish of the day which changes every day, but is cheap and cheerful. The place is self serve, and good for kids as plenty of space, they can sit by the window and look at the boats and the place is very down to earth. (There are outdoor seats too) Oh and it is a MC friendly place which excited my husband. Prices are good. Paid 375,- for 2 mains, 1 kids main and 4 non alcoholic drinks for 2 adults, 1 kid and 1 toddler.

I was there for just cocktails and they all tasted good! A lady staff was a bit cold and absentminded l, but then I saw her there again next morning early. I guess it means she is working too hard and too long! Itâs a place I would like to try more variety of food next visit!

We had fish cakes and a vegetarian sandwich together with some beers, «Væltepeter» and «Skawskum». This was our best meal ever in this place. The service was perfect as well.Look for more reviews by MulleEllum.

We had a delicious taster menu in this beautiful restaurant. The dishes were skillfully presented and had a wonderful blend of flavours. The portions were more substantial than for any other taster menu we've had back home! The waiting staff are attentive (not obtrusive) and very friendly (brilliant command of English - I'm ashamed!) I would highly recommend this restaurant (and Skagen is beautiful!)

Cozy cafe with great atmosphere and lots of heart space and not least Skagen's best coffee.
What a fabulous place this! The people and menu is danish at its finest. Lunchtime and outside in the sun - highly recommend the Pariserbof - the mustardy relish was amazing! The fritte to die for (and if you have that mustardy relish left over dunk the fries in this). Thoroughly enjoyed the Kartoffelmad as well. ââï¸
