Find out what Scandinavian restaurants to try in Marstrand. Marstrand is a seaside locality situated in Kungälv Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 1,319 inhabitants in 2010. The town got its name from its location on the island Marstrandsön. Marstrand is, despite its small population, for historical reasons often still referred to as a city (today however, Statistics Sweden, only counts localities with more than 10,000 inhabitants as cities). Recently the town has expanded to the neighbouring island Koön, which has bridge access to the mainland.

At restaurant Vatten , you can come to satiate the stomach or quench the thirst - all year round. Our favorite ingredients are fish and shellfish . Naturally , since we are located right in the Bohuslän archipelago . Here are options also for those who pr
We tried this restaurant on vacation in Tjörn. The wine list is good, service is professional and friendly. The only complaint is that the two main course of fish were too cook. On the dry side. The grilled beef however was good. The view is splendid. There was kids jumping in the water from a big rock in the middle of the bay.Nice spot.

We had an excellent lunch sitting outside last weekend? The service, setting and ambience were great. The löjrom starter (Bleak roe) was delicious, and the fish stew of crab, salmon, prawns, mussels and crayfish was incredible. We would return again and again.

I’ve been here before a couple of years ago albeit in the late autumn. Being here in the summer is a totally different feeling. The only thing that’s the same was the quality of the food and service. We had a set menu, a bit surprised that this was the only option. To this we took the drink package that complemented the food perfectly. The service from the personnel was friendly and courteous. The best thing though is the setting for Salt & Sill, nothing compares to the Swedish archipelago.

We were a bit suspicious to begin with, because the place was deserted in comparisons to the other restaurants on the pier, plus I hadn't read much on TripAdvisor. But the service was friendly and quick, the food was fresh and excellent (the shrimp sandwich was huge!!!) and, because we're talking about Marstrand, the prices were on the lower side. What a pleasant surprise! Would recommend!

Wonderful location on the harbour side. Ate in the outdoor seating area which was great with patio heaters to stay warm.Food choice was good, something for everyone. My meal was delicious and the waiting staff very friendly and attentive.Only criticism is its high on price but this is probably due to costs of being on the island.Well worth a try if you’re there.

The restaurant is open may to beginning of september. It is a seasonal business. We are proud to serve our legendary Maggans Fishsoup.
On our törn with our sailyacht we resches Marstrand. Amongst many restaurants at the kay 'Arnell par kaien' sticks out: Small, authentic and with a very gemütlich ambiente. The fishsoup was excepionen, as were the other main courses. Especially the very warm and personel service by The Sommelier Anders Arnell and his daughter made is feel like home. Especially wehen he explaniert the Receiver of his mother :-)Definetly a place to be!!!

Swedish flavors dominate the menus at Ottos Kök. It will come as no surprise that fish and seafood is on the menu but there is something for all tastes. We would be delighted if you took a moment to look at the dishes we serve when you sit down to dine. W
The restaurant has sea view (plus view on the island Marstrand) from all tables. Great location. The food quality is good but could be even better for the price. You sense a bit the monopoly position of the restaurant. There are not many restaurant alternatives. Food focus: Swedish fish

This restaurant is centrally located, and the atmosphere and decor is different but very good. We booked a table, just as well because it was packed. And the service and the quality of the food are the key to its success. We enjoyed a superb evening, and will definitely visit again.
