Was driving to meet a friend in Gardur. Saw a sign by the side of the road that said lunch buffet. Decided to check it out, had no idea this was a restaurant. Walked in and had the buffet and a soda. Food was very good and price was great..

Röstin Restaurant is located 20 meters from the shore with fantastic ocean view and a balcony. There are two lighthouses on the premises and a museum. We serve Seafood, quality hamburgers, Piri-Piri chicken, Icelandic lamb, Fish Soup, Icelandic Meat Soup
I visited this restaurant with my mom and sister and was completely blown away (quite literally, it was a VERY windy day, lol). This cute spot sits on top of a museum full of old boats, engines, radios, and much more. The ambience and style of the restaurant was absolutely lovely, and the overlook of the ocean was gorgeous. The fish (fresh from the bay 30 meters away) and chips was the best Iâve tasted during my travels, and the hamburger my sister ordered was also divine. The best part of the experience was when the owner, Siggi, walked up to us after we finished our meals and told stories of the history of the village and viking settlers. He told us lore about the northern lights making men fall in love and about the ancient lighthouses just meters from the restaurant. He said if you climb to the top of the lighthouse (which has a cafe of its own), make a wish, and write it down, it will come true. The most moving part of his tales was that heâs been trying to build up the surrounding town because it has been struggling recently. Itâs definitely one of the less common attractions in KeflavÃk, but it is well worth the visit for the delicious food and intriguing history and charm.

Note to travelers, Keflavik airport has minimal food choice after 430 pm, consider dinner before airport (drop off car and get to airport at least hr before flight if eating there). Had last pizza left there, it was terrible. Flew back hungry.Dear Pras499 First of all, thank you very much for sharing your impressions about our restaurant with us. We truly apologize for the bad experience you had. The quality and taste of our products is a priority for us. You feedback has been transmitted to the chef, and he will make sure such a situation does not happen again.I hope to welcome you again soon for a better experience.Sincerely, Inga JonsdottirKEF - Nord Restaurant
Where to eat Pizza food in Keflavik: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Keflavik does not have a vast number of restaurants, and I settled here for one meal. The food was good and is (as all things in Iceland) pricey. The good news is you will not leave hungry. I did ask for the dish to be tweeked and was told by the waitress that she'd try: she didn't or couldn't and it lead me to believe that the food may not be prepared when ordered. If so, it's not the only restaurant on the planet that does so, but one would think that at this price point they might at least try to modify a dish for dietary preferences.

Icelanders may be found here, but we heard nothing but English. The menu is comprehensive, but starts off with a page tuned to "exotic" visitor tastes at premium prices. You want fermented shark? Whale meat? Sure. They've got that. We weren't especially famished, so we chose an appy of tandori chicken (go figure?). Nice flavours, but with a sad side salad and about 2 tablespoons of raita, which was surprisingly spicy, both for raita and for Iceland. The Monkfish...turned this review around (it was headed downward). A generous portion, supplemented with a lobster tail (tiny by North American standards, but...different species, ok?) potatoes and veg, and a nice remoulade. Nicely cooked and presented. In a big eater, but between this and the appy, we're both sated. Might have to try a different place for our last night in Iceland, but, despite my initial impressions, I can recommend this place.

Rain restaurant was opened in 1989 and is one of the most beautiful restaurants in Reykjanes. The restaurant has a beautiful view over the sea and nearby rocks. Enjoy great food while overlooking the Faxaflói bay and the amazing surroundings. Rain restaur
Rain doesn't play the music loud, and they have a nice dining room overlooking the water. One keeps thinking a whale might swim by at any moment.Although the service can be a little spotty when they get busy, the servers are very pleasant and helpful. I had an appetizer involving local feta cheese which was tasty, and then perhaps the best lamb and potato dish I've had in a long time. Done in a traditional Icelandic style, apparently. It makes me wish I had also ordered the fish stew, because the kitchen knows how to knock a simple dish right out of the park.HIghly recommended. I would have gone back but I was only in Iceland for the one night.

KEF is a first class-enclosed glass restaurant attached to Hotel Keflavik. We serve Icelandic cuisine. Please note! It is recommended to reserve a table in advance by phone, facebook or by email. Hope to see you soon.
This is a rather small but cosy restaurant. The decorations are quite pleasing. Simple but tempting menu. We got advice from the wonderful staff. Decided upon starters only and all was delicious. Excellent vine. Ended with dessert and coffee. In all a perfect evening and highly recommended.
