Open on demand. We only cater for groups. Minimum 10 persons. The charming restaurant at Woldstad Gard is situated in an old farm building, in a well kept typical farm on the west coast of Norway.
We stopped by on Easter Day and even though they were closed the owner said she would make something up for us. To our surprise it was a delicious 3 course meal which we washed down we local beer. Really beautiful place and excellent hosting just what we needed after a day in the mountains. Thanks for stopping by, and for your nice comment! We try our best to serve those calling, although it would be safer to order in advance, as we are open on request only, and mainly for groups. This summer we will try to keep open every day, with dinner served at 19.00.We prefer even then that we know on beforehand how many will come, so best to call earlier in the day! Anyway, welcome to Woldstad Gard!

Was dissapointed that they didn't have ball (potato dumpling), but the steak was very good, as was the slider. Good looking interior. Staff is pleasant and the place is clean. You can sit outside and have a view of the river.

The food was rather good for Norwegian standards and presented nicely. The bottled specialty beer is very good. The architecture of the new building is impressive from the outside and it also hosts a history museum of Norwegian mountain climbing, cinema, souvenir shop and the cafe. A big minus is the inside architecture of the cafe: It looks and feels like a school canteen from the 70'ties. Cold, drafty and bad acoustics which made a conversation rather impossible.
