TLDR: PUKE.We sat there ordering 4 dishes shared amongst 4 people. The Schnitzel was eatable. The T-BONE steak was on the spectrum somewhere from "not fresh" to carcass. The tirol pan held very questionable meat. This is a wakeup call for a restaurant thinking it can serve spoiled products and remain active.

Based on the other tripadvisor reviews I can say we had quite high expectations for our 1 night stay in Casa Freya. We had a nice dinner, good portions, tasty meals (very good pancakes). The room was nice at a first glance, of a good size, with all necessary amenities. the minibar was very noisy though. The surprise was when we got to the bathroom, where despite the "Sanitized" ribbons placed on the toilet and shower, there were signs that due diligence was not done when cleaning it (example: on top of the shower glass panel there was an empty Shower gel recipient). Good wifi in the room. Great quality breakfast with plenty of choice. Rather small parking place but considering the available space it is still great that they offer it. The view is nice, overseeing the mountains, and with the forest right at the back of the pension. Great potential, might need to have some small improvements in order to get to a higher standard (especially in terms of cleanliness).

We stopped for lunch on our way to Sinaia and Brasov. The food was horrible. Far worse than the worst restaurant we went to in Romania. We could not chew the meat and we returned it without eating. It did not disturb the restaurant to fully charge us for this meal. The service was bad and the waiter behavior was disgusting.Hello, "Mr. taasiot", aka "Mr. Tamir",Maybe next time when you would like to spit on somebody's work, you'll be kind to show some prove, like a photo of you in the location or with the "disgusting" meal or even with that "full bill". Or you can simply ask for a manager help if you are in any trouble in our restaurant.Till then, please let the real guests say their honest opinions.Greetings!Team Riviera

I liked the name of the restaurant in the first place, as it reminded me of Sadoveanu's novel Hanu Ancutei. I went there after a visit at Caraiman Monastery, around 7 pm on Saturday evening. There were many people on the terrace because the weather was pretty warm for the time of the year, 23rd May. The ladies that served on the terrace really seemed like in Hanu Ancutei, being middle-aged, friendly and smiley. We were eager to eat something sweet and traditional, therefore we chose two portions of papanasi with blackberry jam. The papanasi arrived fast and looked appetising, not to mention the flavour they had. Pure delight! There were two pieces of Romanian doughnuts on one portion, which was more than enough. I saw other desserts on the menu, such as apple pie with vanilla sauce, ice cream etc., as well as many traditional inn-like dishes: polenta with cheese and sour cream, fish, stew.

I have eaten here twice and on both occasions the food was a real treat. The deep fried chicken with polenta and garlic sauce really worth a try. There is a very nice terrace and the service (a lady waitress) was more than pleasant.

Been coming here for three years and counting. :-D For sure, the best restaurant in the area. Not too many options in the menu, but among them there are some gems you really shouldn't miss. Like, on breakfast, the Magic Omlette (3 eggs, ham, cheesr, onion, tomatoes), fresh milk on demand - and it's really milk, Taci si Inghite - polenta, sausage, egg, cream, "burduf cheese". Service is fast even at rush hours. The prices are moderate-low. Some meal vouchers available if you also stay at their hotel/spa. The decor of the restaurant is vintage - kitsch, with a definitely charming personality. Highly recommend.

Restaurant din lemn de stejar si piatra de rau din complexul Piatra Soimului. Meniu incredibil de rafinat si variat pentru o zona turistica de munte si servicii etichetate ecologic. Liniste si priveliste de poveste.
It'a a revisit but a tasty one. The place really looks fantastic and the food, wow the food. I had the polenta with cheess and bacon and Plescoi saussages, all oven baked. It was a delicious dish. My girlfriend had the polenta with Burduf cheese and i had a taste and also fantastic. We came with a friend that had a burger and the way it was presnted was so nice and she said it also tasted very good. A big bravo!Dear Andrei,Wow, thank you for your awesome review! We're so happy to hear you and your dear ones had a great experience in KUIB Restaurant! It seems that you and your girlfriend went for the all-romanian experience, while your friend chose one of our star-dishes, a new-comer in our menu. That's what makes KUIB so great, the posibility to choose between various dishes from multiple cuisines. We hope we'll see you guys again really soon, perhaps with a new, improved menu by then!Kind regards,KUIB&PiatraÈoimului Team
