I have visited the Mix Bar several times for events and girls night out. We came for a friends birthday on a Friday night, where the ladies drink for free. We also ordered some finger food and we really enjoyed it - delicious and not too pricey. There is a DJ for a bit of music and there is a little dance floor if you want to boogie. The furnishing is nice, comfy seating, a pool table, nice bar. The atmosphere is hit or miss - sometimes there's a good crowd and sometimes its a bit dead. But we have fun either way. Recently I attended the Christmas party with a group from work and it was great fun - good drinks and food and great value. There was also a wine and cheese night a few weeks ago. Xiâan brewery has its main building in Yanta near the big goose pagoda, and opened a branch in the Greenland building south of town in Changâan district. The food quality is superb and beer is great. It really gives you a feeling of home and is frequented by the local expats and locals alike. We go here at least once a week and have never been disappointed.

We visited the Hacker Pschorr Brauhaus for dinner on a warm night in Xian. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The music inside was on the loud side so if that an issue definitely sit outsideWe ordered Pretzels, mashed potatoes and Pork Knuckles. The Pork Knuckles were fine but we were a little disappointed in the size. Maybe half the size of a European one and mostly fat and crackle.The beers brewed onsite were nice and tasty not to mention refreshing in the summer heat of Xian. Overall a nice place for a meal
