Went today 6:30pm ordered 3 adult meals 2 childrens meals... still tasting the grease. Ordered a mixed grill £15 got a 1/4 of chicken breast thqt was cooked from frozen (rubbery texture not fresh) 1/4 gamon steak more fat and rind than gamon got messy fries... stale oil taste was prominent for an extra charge i was expecting a normal size but what i got was less than what the children were served. Ordered a kids burger the bun was solid child couldnt eat it. Ordered a chicken bites kids meal the bites were that solid they could be used with a fork. Ordered a streaky bacon and chicken breast adults meal again the chicken was rubbery and had an odd texture the messy fries orderd with them again tasted more of oil... The baby spilt ketchup on table used a baby wipe to clean it and OMG the dirt on the wet wipe from the table was disgusting. Its safe to safe table table we dont recommend and after a £50 food alone bill for food we are still tasting for the wrong reeason we won't be back.

Went recently at short notice for Sunday lunch and so glad we did. My wife has allergies and they went overboard to ensure she was well looked after. Plenty room.We both started with chicken, strips and kebabs, very good indeed. Lots of food and presented with delicious sauces. Good selection of main courses, some with interesting additions. Chef seems to like experimenting a little. Attentive and well spoken staff, and a decent selection of cask ales. Strange that you are unable to set up a tab but no problem really. Several card payments instead of one...!!!A good pub with lots of regulars evident (always a good sign) prices were slightly higher than normal but worth it. We will be enjoying this place very soon, I have already decided what I will be eating.

A warm and friendly pub serving restaurant quality food, as well as a large variety of real ales and an extensive gin bar
Went for a family meal on a Sunday evening. All four of us really enjoyed our meals. We had cock and bull, rump steak and chicken burgers. Empty plates all round. Good homemade chips and very tasty onion rings. One of many good meals we've had at the foresters.

First time here. Came for a Sunday roast with family. Opted for the chicken & husband had beef. Arrived pretty quickly but it was just a chicken fillet & some hard broccoli and cauliflower! The green beans were edible but there was quite a lot! The potatoes were lovely though!

First time was in winter and heating wasnt working. Second time coffee machine not working. Third time we might be lucky. Will be back soon.

Me and my fiance regularly dined here and have for roughly 2 years last night was our last!really gone down hill staff stood around just seem like they don't want to be there, wasn't asked if our meals wer ok,wasn't asked about desserts and wasn't offered more drinks as we was eating!!after speaking to a gentleman at the bar (in the middle of my meal) who informed me they've had a change in management and he thinks that's why the atmosphere has changed which makes complete sense, seems the place is missing the old manageress and there staff show it!won't be returning any time soon.

Canât rate this place highly enough. Amazing atmosphere, always spotlessly clean, very pleasant staff and a great selection of ales, always a good pint tooThe craft ale bar located upstairs is a great addition to this already legendary pub, with an array of funky craft ales, nowhere Iâd rather spend my weekends.
