Established in 2016. Though our restaurant first opened under its previous ownership in 2016 on May 1st 2017 we reopened after extensive renovations and menu upgrades under its current ownership.
Stopped in with an old work colleague and was completely satisfied. I had the wings and 1/2 rack of ribs. The wings were very good and had a nice smoked flavor (not too strong) with ample sauce for me. The ribs were also very good and had a ton of meat on them. Between the two I had to take 3 ribs home in a doggie bag.My colleague had 1 pound of wings with the parmesan topping (and something else) he had to take a few wings home as well. The service was quick and friendly. As we were just finishing up the place was starting to fill up pretty good so you may want to go a bit earlier in case this is always the case nightly.

There is no "I" in our team!People are talking... from Durhamâs best chicken wings (really, thatâs what they say) to sandwiches that are big enough to share to pasta dishes like you have never tasted before and entrees that look like they belong downtown
A Wednesday afternoon, about 1PM ; only a few occupied tables in the large space ; I think it draws mostly in the evening when sports are on TV. The service was very good provided by a friendly waitress ; the table ware is clean ; the table and chairs are clean too. The washroom is also clean. This road house style restaurant seems about typical ; loud music ; plenty large screens to watch sports ; high tables ; ... and so-so food. Along with the sandwich I had a Coors draft ; cost came to about $25 incl tip.Allen-y-doncThx for sharing your visit and your comments. We are a very busy place mid afternoon through the evening as you mention well known for our food and atmosphere. I am disappointed that we didnât leave you with that impression. Hopefully you will come and see us again to see that we can do much better. Sorry that, that didnât happen this time. Best,

Stopped by on a Friday at 5:30 pm and it was already busy. Everyone enjoyed their meals which included a burger, wings, bangers & mash, liver & onions - typical pub food! Nothing exotic or fusion here. Jerica our server was very pleasant and attentive.

For an unparalleled dining experience featuring succulent Angus AAA steaks, fresh seafood, and an extensive wine list, visit Bâton Rouge Steakhouse Bar & Grill in Whitby.
We have been to this restaurant several times. Food was good and service was good. This visit, the service was good and the food was pretty bad. Very disappointed. We ordered an appetizer spinach dip that was runny like soup and it tasted like must smells. Terribly gross. The waitress noticed we weren't eating it and asked if we liked it. No. We explained. She apologized and took the appetizer. She came back and said she talked to the chef in the back and they said that was how they made it. Really? How sad. Because it is gross. Soupy and taste like must? Perhaps it had been frozen and was freezer burn? She brought us another appetizer dip and same thing. How could this happen? We spent over $70 ..which is the lowest we have probably ever spent there and it was wasted money. The only thing that was enjoyable the whole meal was the creme brulee. That was nice.I rated VALUE terrible because I felt we wasted time and money. :(

Welcome to 12welve Bistro | Tapwerks located on the âMost Refreshing Street in Canadaâ inside the Brock Street Brewing Company building. Here you will find a cozy casual brew pub setting with views of the brewery and some of the best food offered in Whitb
There are some good points, and a few negatives: We went in a group of 5. We had reservations which were easy to make online. Building on the outside is gorgeous and we have been Brock St. Beer fans for a long time. We were excited to finally get there! Immediately upon entering, we see the sign about the 2 hour table time. To me, this is off-putting.....there are many restaurants that are busier than 12welve Bistro that donât hit you on the face with that policy upon entering (even if they have that policy, they are skilled in turning over tables seamlessly without customers feeling it) strictly my opinion, other guests may have no issue with the transparency, it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Our server was nice, efficient and knowledgeable, so no issue with service at all. Lots of seasonal drinks on menu. Good beer selection, and interesting menu. Food was prompt. 2 of us got the Schnitzel on a bun. When the plates arrived they were hot....and my friend was handed the plate and nearly dropped it as he was surprised by the heat. The bun was a skinny crusty baguette. The size of the schnitzel was too large to eat as a sandwich, so we both decided to try it as open faced sandwich. Eventually both of us ditched the bun, and just ate the schnitzel, as the bun was impossible to cut. Flavour was good on schnitzel though. Lastly, the ketchup for the fries was scarce for the amount of fries they give you - comes on the side in a little dish, but was approx. a table spoonful. Others had chicken fingers, Mac and Cheese, and chicken pot pie. Everyone felt the food quality and serving sizes to be very good. The biggest issue we had was noise level. It was busy (Wednesday) and the windows were open, but it was not street noise that we heard, as we were at the back. It was less about the volume and more about the acoustics if that makes sense?? It was impossible to talk....not sure if itâs because of the high ceilings, or what....but literally impossible to hear one another at your table, or to hear the server for that matter. We always go to pubs, and expect busy places to be loud. Not sure what can be done about it, just be forewarned...if youâre trying to catch up with friends, hard place to have a discussion. Happiness Thanks for taking the time to share your visit. I will first address the sign, unfortunately we have had to make this a âpossibleâ policy at times and we unfortunately have had to act upon it. As you mention, you had a reservation. If you had shown up and your table was not ready I am sure that would have left an even bigger bad taste in your mouth. We have this policy as respect to customers making reservations as you did. It is by no means our intent to limit everyone to this policy. There have been many nights when this game have run smoothly and we didnât enforce. The sign does say âwe reserve the right to limit table times to 2hrsâ not that we are going to. Hope this explains it a little better. Very happy to hear everyone was happy with their food. The schnitzel is big as most of our food is and many people do eat open faced as you did. Further happy to hear others were happy with their meals too. Now the noise, this is something we are working on solutions for as it can be loud at times as you have pointed out. You are correct when you say itâs busy, itâs been very busy and we couldnât be happier that people are enjoying what we have created thus far. Thanks again for sharing tour experience, feedback like yours is very important to the success of our business. Hope to see you again soonBest,

Came early and was able to get great seating. They have a vast selection of drinks on tap, including local drinks! I know! The spinach dip is amazing, yes amazing! Do get it if you go here! The burgers are very good, and the chicken/rib plate has enough for left-overs.

Went here for dinner with some friends recently. (Exact same menu as Portly Piper in Ajax by the way. I mean, literally, the same menu.) I had butter chicken, which was decent. Service was fast and friendly. Place was packed; Saturday at 6pm, but we didn't have to wait too long.

Always amazing food and a friendly atmosphere with a good selection of drinks. Excellent food at a very reasonable price. The owner is usually there throughout the day working the bar, always brings me a good laugh.
