Great atmosphere! Came out to enjoy live music on a Friday night and loved how people were so into it â it made for a really fun vibe! We were greeted at our table in the bar area within a minute of sitting down; service was fast and friendly throughout. Just ordered fries and drinks and both were tasty. We are definitely planning to come back to eat a full meal and check out the patio.

Established in 1936, the palms boasts excellent atmosphere and excellent food. The famous round bar was built using the same tree and is believed to be the 1st round bar in the country. "Paradise on your plate" is our motto. And our Dedicated and long tim
Spouse and two friends visited The Palms on Aug 29 for lunch. We heard it is under new ownership and management and wanted to try it out. I had a salad and crab cakes (appetizer), spouse had shrimp basket, others had a BLT and chicken tenders.BLT was very good, the chicken tenders were reported as very tender a delicious and the shrimp was reported to be the best she ever had (she almost always orders shrimp!) My salad was a side salad dish and was very fresh with excellent honey mustard dressing. The crab cakes were OK but then I compare them to those I have had in San Francisco, etc, so my comparison is "tainted"; still they were tasty. The place is undergoing some renovations so they had not completely cleaned up the site (blue painters tape was still on the wall!). This place is worth another visit from us.P.S. the server (Deb) was previously at the Hiawatha as was the chef. Deb did here usual excellent job and so did the chef!

On a suggestion of a friend we went to the Jig for supper. We asked to be seated in the sun room. This room has a great view of the Eau Claire River. Jeremiah presented himself as our waitperson, he proved to be friendly and efficient. My wife ordered salmon and I asked for shrimp scampi. We tried onion rings for an appetizer. The rings came with a house made dipping sauce that was really good. Good onion rings are an indication of a good restaurant. My wife raved about her salmon. My scampi was out-of-sight delicious. Six monster shrimp on a bed of garlicky, buttery thin pasta. Both of our meals were world class. The veggie sides were cooked to perfection. My wife's spinach and truffle mashed potatoes were as good as my perfect broccoli. Even the side salads were very well made. By the way, our meal was preceded by a delicious loaf of warm bread, served with butter. I have been to seafood places all around the US; and The Jig can hold their own with any of them. We were prepared for a good meal; but this place beat our expectations by a country mile. I surprise myself by giving them five stars. But we had a five star dining experience at this wonderful place. Modestly priced wine and bar drinks were just frosting on this cake. Outstanding food, great service and the ambiance of watching the river flow by in a nicely appointed sun room made this place one of our finer dining experiences. Ignore the impatient and entitled. This place is worth a stop.

Do you want a good heavy breakfast, this is the place. The only inconvenience is the 10 dollar requirement for the debt card use. Cheap food for a reasonable price.

This looks like an ordinary sports bar, but it's anything but. The food is excellent. Good choices on the menu. And the biggest surprise of all is that their pizza is fantastic! I'm Italian, and it's one of the best I've ever had. Will definitely return if business brings me back to town

We LOVED how well things were at Jalapeños, which was founded by the owner of this place. Spectacular food and service. We came here for my sister in lawâs birthday. Initial drink order took 45 minutes to receive, and a lot of pestering from us. We went to the bar ourselves for water and glasses. Waiter was a nice guy, but told me that our table wasnât his but he wanted to help us anyways. I came here for my 40th birthday about 18 months ago and everything was terrific. I seriously wonder what happened to the quality of service and food since then. This building was LONG overdue for someone like the owners to take this place over and make it into something amazing. Initially, they succeeded, but it has gone way downhill since. Iâm truly sad to see the quality become what it has.

Stopped here after riding the Mountain Bay bicycle trail. Great find right on the highway - Schofield Ave. watch the Packer game- lots of screens. Good service, good prices, and very good food. Meat Lovers Wrap was excellent. Chefâs salad was great, too. Fun place to be for a Packer game. Free food and prizes at halftime. Free green shots for Packer touchdowns! Canât beat that. Not a drinker but adds to a happy Packer atmosphere. Oh and free popcorn. Really good too. Well run bar and grill. Kudos to owner. Stop if you are in the area. Glad we did.

Rustic old-world fare with a modern interpretation. 101 draft beers poured on a Gen2 tap system by Cicerone certified beer servers, as well as an extensive selection of craft cocktails. We also feature a beer cellar with aged offerings to enjoy at your ta
Stopped by for lunch. The atmosphere was very present and they offered about 100 beers with several choices from Germany. We ordered several appetizers bone marrow (excellent), cream/chive herring (very good) and brusseled sprouts (very good). The appetizer dishes were quite large. For a main we tried the Jagerschnitzle (very tasty although the pork was a bit too thick as was the breading). And, the beet salad (excellent). Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Definitely worth a try.

The inside is fun and playful. The craft beer selection is nice with a nice selection. The food was excellent and the service was pleasant. We ordered muscles, burgers and the bean hummus. The burgers are thick and juicy. The muscles was a very geneticist portion with a very lite flavorful broth. Everything was great and I would absolutely go again.

This is very much a Burger Pub. Quite a good selection of burger to choose from and an extensive selection of beer. My wife has a classic cheese burger done exactly the way she likes it and I had the Kentucky Bourbon classic. Excellent!I would highly recommend them. Thanks for taking the time out of your schedule to leave us this review, Speckul8r! We will definitely be passing your compliments on to our staff. We are so glad you dined with us, and it will be our pleasure to serve you again soon so you can try more items on our menu and let us know your thoughts.
