Things to do in Waterbury
This is a new restaurant in town, one of several restaurants in the local chain of Mcgillicuddyâs. We have eaten at the Mcgillicuddyâs in Colchester and Williston several time, and Williston is our favorite one in this chain.Waterbury is the newest Mcgillicuddyâs and we visited it on opening day and weâre very disappointed. We gave it a second try several weeks ago and still not impressive. Last week we were running late getting home and wanted to grab a quick bit to eat and I suggested to my wife we give Mcgillicuddyâs one more try; its convenient to our home. She was hesitant but agreed to one last try.Well.... I itâs the last time we will be going there until things change at this restaurant. We ordered Cobb salads and the salad was terrible. The avocado was slimy and discolored, much of the lettuce was brown and the serving size was small. We frequent a restaurant Montpelier and for about the same cost you can get a real Cobb salad. The service was fairly slow except when it came to paying the bill, the waiter miraculously became friendly and responsive to attend to our needs .... ironically that involves processing the charge card. I would recommend other establishments in Waterbury until you start to see good reviews for this restaurant.

Located in Waterbury, the food and beverage crossroads, we feature New England's largest & best curated selection of craft beer, proper cocktails, eclectic wines with a full menu featuring barbecue, vegetarian and cozy American fare.
Longish wait but have a drink at the bar or the brewery below and some snacks, if you choose. Pulled pork sandwich is great and so are the collard greens. Salads with chicken or brisket or pork are also good, as is the Mac and cheese. Many kinds of beer and full bar too. Lots of âpro pigâ goods to buy too. Great place.

Vermont's best Hand Tossed Pizza and Bar Fare featuring 19 draft beers. Open for both lunch and dinner, family friends and room for large parties
Went on recommendation of hotel and enjoyed a large salad with maple dressing and a large specialty pizza (The Farmers Daughter) with chunky plumb tomatoes, mozzarella and garlic: it was decent and delicious perfectly cooked crust but overdone on the chunky plumb tomatoes. I guess we were expecting something g different. Lots of other choices on menu including burgers and wi gs and selection of beers and wine. Service was excellent.

Decent food and wide selection of beer. I would pass on the Waterbury version of philly steak. Fish and Chips were outstanding.

Great beer selection although we went for the food. The menu has a limited number of unique options but did not disappoint. I had their version of a French dip made with pot roast - was unique and wonderful. My wife had the steak sandwich which was also very good but perhaps a little too much sauce on it.The place itself has a fairly large bar and a limited number of tables where are a little crowded. The service was fast and friendly. We would do it again if in the area.Dear JdmsThanks for your time and considerate words. We appreciate your visit with us and look forward to seeing you again soon.Cheers
