Good Food starts with good ingredients! Specializing in upscale pub style dining, the Albatross uses fresh and local product wherever possible. We Proudly make all menu items in house and use neighboring purveyors. Our 12 drafts are always Alaskan Brewed,
From time to time we have stopped in after golf to share a glass or 2 of wine and a half order of pig natchos. Service has always been hit or miss. However, I took my granddaughter there for lunch and waited 30 minutes while only 5 others are in the restaurant. To their defense they were catering a golf tournament, so we practiced patience. Finally our food came and my taco shells were rancid and not edible. I quietly told the waitress. She checked with the cook, and came back and asked me if I knew the difference between corn & flour tortillas! That was extremely offensive to me. There was no offer to discount my bill, etc. I paid & have fumed for the last week.I can totally understand your "Pure Disappointment" in this experience. We have replaced the staff completely from the time of this experience. I can understand your reluctance to return. I wish I would have been aware of this at the time. Please feel to reach out to me to make this right for you. Amos StephensGM/Superintendent

Hotel next to a busy highway with a large car park with not much else nearby except a restaurant. Rooms clean and airy. Good bed and bathroom. A little noisy from early morning. Ate in the hotel restaurant with little nearby choice. Found the food OK with good waitress service.

Great service with super friendly staff here. The beer selections are good and ice cold. I tried their fried burger as recommended by my friends. Great treat. The fries are also good and abundant. With a central location and a very big sign this place is hard to miss.
Fantastic food !!!I read on a review about the Patti Melt Hamburger how good it was. And it was! Delicious, thick lean burger on butter toasted rye bread Every one very very friendly. Met Scott, the owner, who moved from Texas. They have great pizzas too. Got a pizza to go. Iâd give it 10 stars if I could !

We went to this restarurant for a family dinner while on an overnight stopover at Wasilla from Denali on our way to Kenai Penninsula. After checking reviews in Tripadvisor, we decided to try it. For a Saturday night, the dining area was empty. Most of the crowd was in the karaoke bar portion of the restaurant. Dining area was quiet, you would not think that a karaoke bar was next door. Our waitress was friendly and courteous. Our food was ok. I ordered their fish and chips which was ok. My husband ordered steak which was a good portion and okay but has some chewy fatty tissue around the edges. Kids had grilled cheese with tomato soup, and mac and cheese. The soup was interesting...didn't taste like tomato soup and has bleu cheese and bacon bits as toppings. Have not seen that option anywhere else before. Mac and cheese looked like it came from a box but my son enjoyed it. My husband liked the sports buckets on the dinning tables, esp the Buffalo Bills one. Overall, a pleasant experience but please don't order the tomato soup.

This old time bar is located at mile 18.5 of the Knik Goose Bay Rd. I was there with my nephew for a turkey shoot. On a lark I ordered breakfast with not very high expectations. When my breakfast skillet arrived I was pleasantly surprised to receive what I describe as fresh farm cooked breakfast that was delicious. I was so impressed that my wife and I are planning to return on a Sunday, when they serve prime rib dinner with all the fixings ($30.00). This is definitely not what eye expected from this self described hole in the wall and hence my five star rating for this true Alas-kana experience.

I have eaten here a handful of times. Never been impressed but thought would give it a try after having not gone for a couple years. Should have stayed away. Still overpriced, slow service, bland pizza. Pizza crust is horrible. Canât even eat as leftovers. How is this business still here?

We went hoping Robert was playing music. We've enjoyed Robert's music and good food in the past. This stop was different. No live music, slow, super slow kitchen for a mostly empty restaurant. The food for all 3 of us was hugely disappointing. It took an hour to get cold fries, and icky food. I don't know if management changed or what but not the same quality it used to be.The wait staff was outstanding.
