Just minutes from the center of town this is a gorgeous location. Would highly recommend as a place to take wife or girlfriend to watch the sunset. Also a great place to grab a game of pool with friends 10 meters from sea.

Normally when you go to a 'sports bar' you expect to be able to watch the whole game, especially when they advertise online that they will be showing the game live. On arrival we were warned that if there weren't enough customers they may close, but we assumed as long as we carried in buying drinks they would at least stay open until the end of the game. They turned the TV's off 10 minutes into the second half. I have no problem with the bar itself but I think it's pretty terrible to turn the Six Nations off half way through, leaving us with no other way of watching it.

The Veranda Bar is part of the same complex that most locals know as the Surf Bar. This popular beach side spot has been a favourite place of mine to unwind after a day's work. The Viet Nam coastline used to be known as the veranda of South East Asia. Come and sit on this veranda and enjoy good food, drinks and the view.

A quite extensive menu, and food generally acceptable, though I found the spicing of some of the seafood too heavy, overpowering the delicate taste of the seafood itself. Very expensive.

I chose the lunch special of two pork chops in mushroom sauce for 150,000dong.What a bargain! It came with scrumptious waited potatoes but it was the amazing mushroom sauce that made the dish. The lady in the kitchen really knows her sauces as my friend had her pepper sauce on his steak and I pinched some of his from the generous jug his came in. Excellent value comfort food in Vung Tau.

Inspite of what I believed occurred there recently, I think there are at least 2 sides to every story.Recently went post Colin's bolt, this place is now disgusting. It's definitely gone to the dogs literally, nothing is clean at all, most disgusting wc in VT I'd say.The food is over priced for what you pay for, and as Rose has a new Bf its never open???Plenty of much better places nearby, don't waste your time or effort. Goodluck all concerned.

Prior to coming back here after several years I was told not to order any Vietnamese food as the Western dishes were what this place was all about. Fast forward to early afternoon recently when I found myself again at Lucy's, that according to those in the know (yawn) was not as good as it used to be because the place was now being run by new owners. Gasp ! Shock !! Horror !!! Fear not good people, the beers are still cheap, plentiful and icy cold, the view from the raised deck overlooking the harbour and fishing boats, still enchants and the dish I ordered (Beef Noodle Soup) was excellent. Fresh, steaming hot, with a full flavoured broth and chock full of fresh vegetables and strips of succulent beef. Lucy's is located opposite the 'old' ferry terminal and it's a place still worth a visit. Only one itsy bitsy teenie tiny drawback for me on the day, the waitress looked hopelessly forlorn and seemed as miserable and despondent as a mental patient who has just smelled her own poop. Apart from that - all good.
