Sandbar is located on the beach in Sandy Ground, one of the most charming fishing villages in the Caribbean and the "sea and sand" theme of the bar envelopes you as you enter. Lots of natural light, unobstructed views of Road Bay with its myriad boats at
We always try to make a SandBar visit when on the island. The food was as good as, or even better, than in the past (although plates are now $10 - $15+) - - we tried 6-8 and enjoyed all of them. Drink prices somewhat reasonable. Great frozen rum punch. Service was terrific. Great location and atmosphere (go at sunset). And the owners are very cordial and friendly.

I thought I had walked into the set of the old TV show 'Cheers'!! There was the postal worker at the bar with a cast of other friendly characters, talking and laughing with each other. A steady stream of young girls in school uniforms paraded through to check in with mothers or fathers and some were picking up takeout food. The resturant had about 15 tables plus the bar and there was a nice buzz of conversation. We ordered at the counter and sat down and the food was brought to us piping hot. The shrimp sautéed with pepper and onion was ample and delicious. The fish bits and fries were very good with a wonderful spicy bite to the fish. Throw in a pleasant waitress, a couple of beers, toss with some local colorful characters and you have a great afternoon. Neither particular English, nor Rosey it's a fun place for a meal....wonder where the name came from?

A new beach bar open on Meads Bay (one of the top ten beaches in the world) a relaxed vibe, a blue rum punch and variety of food ( salads, fries, wings, brucetta & sliders to name a few)
A big thanks to everyone at Waves. We initially had planned to have our small wedding reception at a more âtraditionalâ venue but with several small children in our immediate family it just didnât make sense. We opted for Waves who accommodated all of our needs, even space in their refrigerator for the cake. The choice was perfect, the kids stayed occupied, the adults were able to relax and enjoy the delicious food and tasty drinks while listening to a fantastic band they had arranged for us that night. Those fish bites were unmatched during the remainder of our stay on the island and the rum punch was top notch! Thank you to Olivia and the Waves crew. We will see you again!!
