Went to Rileyâs today for lunch with a friend.....first visit for me...loved the old school ambience with the heavy woods and coffered ceilings......server was very attentive without being overbearing.....both of us ordered the jumbo sea scallops......they were cooked perfectly and were delicious......they were served with mashed sweet potatoes and baby carrots.....everything was delicious....bread was served fresh and warm.....we shared an apple pie with fresh whipped cream......best apple pieânot overly sweet and crust was perfect and flakey.....this is not your place if you want the traditional same old burger or sandwich but if you want to step back in time and have some great food âRileyâs will be worth a try

My husband and I stopped in here before dinner one night for some drinks. We were very surprised by the great beer selection that was here (Fiddlehead, Lawsons, etc). I asked the bartender for a NY bourbon and he selected one that was great. He was very friendly and helpful in recommending something. There were comfy couches setup near the front overlooking the street, a long bar heading to the back where there were pools tables and darts for people to enjoy. If we lived in the area I know we'd enjoy hanging out here regularly!

My sister made reservations. We were waited on immediately. Several of us tried the fried perch. Excellent choice! Lightly battered fish, would order again. One person had the lobster ravioli, I tasted it and also excellent. Drinks and salads arrive quickly, as did the entrees. All the food was cooked properly and was hot. Thank you!

What a fantastic visit! I stopped by in uniform while returning from a military exercise over the weekend. It was just after noon on Sunday, so the place was still pretty empty. I ordered the Seafood Cobb Salad, which was very nice. In addition to all the regular stuff on a Cobb, it was topped with shrimp and crab meatâ¦yum! The manager came out with the bill, and he had âadjusted itâ for a military discount, which ended up being 70%! Wow, I certainly hadnât expected that! He said his entire team wanted to express appreciation for military service which was amazing. I enjoyed the food and the service, and will definitely return for more meals in the future.

This Irish bar in Tippararty Hill is the real deal. Fantastic atmosphere, great menu and fabulous food. Dont know what an Irish pub looks like in Ireland but this is what my mind pictures. The beer selections are tops.

Extensive mixed drink menu! Try the spiked lemonades. The chicken tenders are amazing! The honey mustard had a nice horseradish kick. The firehouse burger was yummy. A very good place for a nice family meal.

We were desperately seeking a good dog friendly restaurant in the downtown Syracuse area near the Marriott Hotel. This hit all the issues including the GF diet my wife has. In probably would not do the Lobster salad w/ double the Lobster meat, although the salad was good the Lobster meat was still sparse. The chocolate decadent dessert was superb and the beers as well as wine selection was really excellent. The bar tenders were very cool and allowed for a couple of tastings of their wide selection of beers.

Whenever we are in the Syracuse area, this is a favorite place to stop! We love the atmosphere, cocktails, servers, and certainly the variety of excellent options for a quick bite or something more substantial. We always have the Italian egg rolls and my husband LOVES the French onion burger! They have a great deal on gift cards right now too! That gift will certainly be a hit becuase everyone we know loves the place!

Went on a Tuesday evening around and there was a short wait. Very small space but the wait staff turns tables fast without rushing you. Good list of local craft beers as well as some national favorites. Daily specials that looked excellent. Decided on their classic pot roast poutine and while it is not the traditional Montreal poutine (very little cheese and not sharp) it was rich and yummy. Gravy was solid and the pot roast melted in your mouth. Moved on to entrees of bbq maple pork chop for me and grilled cheese sandwich with short rib for my friend. Both were outstanding. Ton of meat in the grilled cheese that made it decadent and a perfectly cooked, tender, juicy pork chop. Sides were good but the mashed potatoes while creamy could have used some more flavor. After waiting decades to visit I will return very soon as there were many other menu items that sounded wonderful.

"The Irish Pub You've Been Training For"... Where the Craic of Ireland meets the heart of Downtown Syracuse.
I had been here a couple of times before including on St Patty's Day (in the morning) so with a friend decided to drop in as many other bars were quiet in Armory Square, possibly because of the rain but then again, Syracuse nightlife and crowds are difficult to predict. The bar was filled (not packed) with a good crowd of people engaged in talk, drinking, eating and enjoying the live entertainment. My friend wanted something unusual to drink as he doesn't like beer so the bartender (Jimmy) obliged and whipped up a nice Irish Cream concoction that set the mood for my buddy to enjoy more as the night progressed. Its a nice friendly place, clean with a great assortment of Irish whiskeys and other liquors and at reasonable prices. Add in live entertainment and you have the perfect mix for a great night out.Malcolm, all of us at Kitty Hoynes thank you for your review and news of your great experience. Jimmy is great behind our bar, always happy to please and forever creating great experiences for our guests. We are glad you saw our vast Irish whiskey selection and enjoyed our live music in a friendly atmosphere. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Yours Sincerely, David
