We stopped here for lunch when visiting the islands. Terrible food experience. We ordered two pizzas. They were pre- prepared, not fresh and tasteless. The salad was boring. A huge disappointment. The only up side was the view. Would not recommend.

New Bar is a café / restaurant on the tiny peaceful island of Isola Pescatori on Lake Maggiore. You get great views over the lake, particularly on the upper terrace (which is not immediately obvious - most seating is downstairs on the lakeside). Service was efficient, staff pleasant and helpful. We had a really nice pizza and a couple of beers before taking the boat ride back to Stresa. Really enjoyable.

There are two places called Cafe Lago on the island, the one overlooking the lake has bad reviews, the other is opposite the market stalls and this is a review of that restaurant. Great place for a snack, many other places serving meals which is fine if that's what you are after. This place does sandwiches, rolls etc at reasonable prices, seating inside and out. Staff pleasant and helpful. Clean toilets upstairs. Music theme inside, memorabilia on all walls, posters, guitars etc it's worth going in for this alone.Thank you very much for your review!! Hopefully to see you again soon!! Greetings from the Island!

The whole vibe of the place was very chilled.Visited this place at noon to try out their "fried mars bar and icecream". However, it was not available. Some of the desserts and shakes they have on their menu are very different from what any other place would offer. Tried the kit kat shake and the mars bar shake. Both were perfect and just as per my liking. Lovely...Thank you, we are happy you enjoyed the atmosphere of our small bar and our offers specialties. Merry Christmas

The âtapasâ style menu was perfect in this restaurant. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the busy street in front of us. The food portions were just right. Very flavoursome! We had to resist not going back the following evening because we wanted to experience a range of restaurants, however this one was just lovely! We would recommend the mixed bruschetta, soup and cut meats. The veg piadine was also beautiful. We would certainly recommend!

Very cute, cosy and nice place. Pkeasant interior, nice choice of Italian craft beer (especially bottled). Extremely friendly staff. Nice place to sit up to midnight. And what is nice: even for small beer they serve tapas for free (like in Spain as bar name is Spanish - donât ask why, even bartenders donât know)
