Not only was the service spot on, with friendly and efficient staff, but the food was fantastic! Excellent choices and huge portions, yet very reasonably priced. Will definitely go back again

A great beach bar with an extensive menu of paninis, salads and platters (cheese, charcuterie, terrines etc.) Very good quality food and an excellent choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. We ordered coffee and when we said we were staying for lunch they said 'oh just pay us later' we stayed most of the day using their deck chairs with no pressure to buy more food or drink. When we ordered terrine for lunch, the waiter fetched all the different types for me to look as as he couldn't explain all the ingredients in English - what service! Wasn't as busy as the similar bars nearer to town ( this one is the furthest of four similar looking establishments along the beach) but worth walking the extra few minutes for. We were impressed and would definitely recommend, even the toilet was clean!

On a cold rainy, autumnal night, it seemed to be the only light in town. It is run by two most beautiful ladies of a certain age; a Scylla and Charybdis to whom those moths of sailors crowd and flutter around the bar. Neon-bright and slightly brash, it feels a warm hearted café. The entrée and desert are machine-made but the main course of mussels and baked cod were just wonderful. Worth an evening visit just to reflect upon what slaves we men are to the smiles of women.

We accidentally came across this, after going up to the equestrian centre. They were extremely accommodating, nice table for the six of us (four adults two kids) over looking the practice ground. Kids loved it, food and service was fantastic. Highly recommended

We called in here for a morning coffee and croissant, only to be told that they don't do pastries! But that we could go buy some over the road and bring them back to eat with our coffee. Great place that catches the early morning sun.

We live near Brasserie Philipe and have eaten here 4 or 5 times. Never disappointed, always good food and good, reliable service. the French eat here in droves - look at the other reviews - nearly all French! A family establishment. The portions are generous - don't come here for nouvelle cuisine! the food is well cooked traditional home style cooking. At our last visit we had ficelle Picarde and smoked salmon to start and then for main I had a great steak and frites with pepper sauce and my wife had a ham and cheese omelette cooked to perfection. On the omelette, this was the first time she has been asked for the 'cuisson' on ordering! She said 'a point' and it was perfect, slightly runny in the middle! Stunning value. The whole meal including a half litre of excellent house rose and two coffees was â¬43.00!!
