We arrived just before the pub opened but they quickly opened up the bar for our pre-lunch. After we had had the drinks we were shown into their restaurant where had the lunch of our choosing. It was served very quickly and was excellent. The staff were very efficient.

We booked an evening meal whilst travelling to our nearby hotel. We then realised weâd arrive too late for our booking, so I rang to let the pub know. The cook went home at 9.00pm and we didnât arrive until 15 minutes after this. The reception on my phone was awful and I was cut off. The lady Iâd spoken to rang me back and took our food order over the phone. When we arrived, cold, tired and hungry, our food (a delicious cod and chips) were waiting for us. We had a refreshing beer and a bottle of red wine with our meal in a lovely, friendly atmosphere. I canât rate the pub highly enough. Itâs customer service was outstanding!

Freehouse on the Norfolk Broads... Winner of "best pint on the broads" Broads awards 2014 & 2015, Norwich & Norfolk CAMRA 'rural' Pub of the year 2015. Microbrewery installed in July 2015. Biggest range of beer on the norfolk broads! All menu items fresh
Have been several times in the past and will go again but tonight was a poor effort all round. A burnt burger, incinerated sausages, soggy batter on some pretty indifferent haddock. Runny camembert that needed a spoon not crispy toast. Chips that looked better than they tasted. And the peas. Bullets for peashooters. Waitress asked if everything was ok. We related Some of the above. She said she would tell the chef. No one appeared so we paid the bill and left. Beer very good as usual. Otherwise that was a one star experience.Need to do a LOT better. Thanks for your feedback David D,Unfortunately, you managed to come in on an evening where we had an agency chef covering for our regular chef, who had to leave for a sudden bereavement. You can rest assured that we have worked really hard to get the kitchen back up to a standard in which we can be proud of since I took over as manager and this is not the normal standard in which we operate.I regret that I was not working that particular evening as I would have happily offered you some sort of compensation as a result of your bad experience. I hope you do return some time, so that you can try our new menu which will be launching in the coming weeks under our fantastic new team. All the bestJim YoungsGeneral Manager

We were on holiday, and we had a 2 minute walk to the pub. We ate there twice and the food was superb both times. There was a good atmosphere in the pub and the staff were friendly.

We do not see trip adviser as you 1st Point to complain try speaking to our staff We will not be forced into giving free meal when threatened with trip adviser
We revisited here having previously had a great meal. The pub, garden and beer were very good. However, the food was average with the pizzas being a bit sloppy. Left feeling a bit disappointed but perhaps we were just unluckyIâm sorry to hear about your bad visit with us in May, we didnât know of any problem but hopefully the brand new stone base pizza oven we have installed, has put this problem of sloppy pizzas right. Please contact us at the pub when you revisit the area so we can try the new oven out on you Many thanks and once again apologies Paul

we arrived without a booking but accommodated straightaway we were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door . Karl greeted us and led us to a comfortable lounge while he moved some tables around to be able to seat the eight of us ,he put the tv on for the kids and made sure we were comfortable ,he brought us some iced water while we waited the few minutes to be taken to our table . Karl took our order , he was so helpful, polite and made us feel relaxed and valued nothing was too much trouble . The food was lovely and nicely presented and served by more very pleasant staff We all really enjoyed our visit and will certainly pay another visit when in the area . highly recommended .

We really enjoyed staying here the night before we picked up the boat for a holiday on the Broads. The rooms were well-appointed, nicely decorated and cosy. The setting in tradition outbuildings with their own courtyard was particularly pleasant. We arrived at a very full time on Sunday afternoon on Fathers Day and the staff were very busy in the bar and restaurant yet they (Steve and Kira) were extremely helpful and accommodating and made time for us.I am a big beer drinker and the TimothyTaylorâs Landlord was kept in good condition. The beer, food that we saw coming out and the helpfulness of the staff encouraged us to make the decision to eat there that evening as we had not made a plan prior to arriving. The food was good traditional home-made pub fare that we really enjoyed and, again, staff made an effort to accommodate us at s busy time with no booking. We finished the evening with a few pints. By this time the pub had quietened and despite, being a local pub, both staff and regulars were friendly and helpful without being intrusive so we felt comfortable staying until close.A lot of praise needs to go to the staff for their hard work and positive attitude in a variety of roles on a busy day.

Traditional Village Pub
We were recommended to go to The Swan as it was dog friendly. Our first visit was fro lunch. We were seated in the bar where there was a large tv on and music playing, but not invasive. The food was good. With this in mind we decided to have an evening meal. The bar was virtually full, the only seats left were under the tv with loud-speakers blasting out music...We could n't hear ourselves talk. We went outside - the seats at the tables were too low to eat in comfort and the other outside area had puddles of water, which was strange as it hadn't been raining. It just felt grubby and uncared for..... we left!
