Gilded Unicorn is a Modern American, Classic restaurant featuring hand crafted foods and drinks located in the historic Montvale Hotel in downtown Spokane. We are part of the entertainment & arts district. The name reflects our blend of classic and modern
We went here for a post theatre restaurant and found the atmosphere charming, homey with interesting art pieces on their vintage brick walls. Good first impression and they were open for later evening. Menu held different and varied choices which didnât quite fit in with our late night tastes; however, some items were delicious. Burger - great; pea salad - yummy; Mac and cheese - OK, pigs in a blanket - good. Service was very good and friendly. Would try some other items for the next time.

We went to this restaurant for early dinner. It is spacious, got good beer and friendly service. Food was kind of hit and missed. The ribs with grits was good and so was the caesar salad. Salmon dish was also good but my chicken tacos lacked juice and taste. All in old it was an o.k place for dinner.

It's just a 3 block walk from our apartment so we go there regularly. Very good selection of craft beers and some good food choices. They also have live music, trivia contests, and work by local artists on the walls.

Randomly stopped at this lovely venue for lunch and was blown away by the great atmosphere, long beer list and lovely food.Friendly staff who take the time to engage with customers and answer any queries Our drinks arrived without delay and I must stay, the Sockeye Velvet Falls Nitro Cream Ale was outstanding Lunch arrived promptly and was presented well and tasted great.Watching other meals arrive on neighbouring tables, I was reminded to be careful of portion size as the meals are generously sized.Highly recommended for a great meal and open from 7am

We stopped in for lunch and split a smoked steelhead BLT. Served with thick sliced bacon on a fresh ciabatta roll, this sandwich was perfectly executed. The Caesar salad that accompanied the salad, though, was a weak sideshow, with limp romaine lettuce and a few lonely croutons. Nice atmosphere with dark wood everything.

Donât let he nondescript strip center front of the restaurant fool you - there is really good food & beer inside! The beer list had my husband struggling to even narrow down his picks for a flight - though the list didnât note some of he choices were out. Start with the buffalo blue cheese cauliflower- delicious!!! The sandwiches & burgers were very good & it was nice to have a salad alongside of them instead of fries.

Right across the street from Visitor Center at Riverfront Park. Friendly service. Salad with burger not a good choice - skimpy - snagged fries from partner. Cole slaw may have been better choice. Draft beer in ice cold glass was great.

Needed a good lunch where our dog could hang too. Nice patio with friendly staff worked great. I had delicious lettuce wraps. My daughter had a turkey sandwich, perfect for her (picky). Hubby had the Cuban with crazy good corn pasta. Our dog was happy in the shade of an umbrella drinking water with ice.
