an unexpected find with good food. Has accomodation and is within a few hundred yards of Buckfast Abbey, lying alongside the river.
Our third visit to Abbey Inn (from the states). Really lovely inn on the river. Super relaxing and great location for touring around Dartmoor. The food is also pretty good although on Sundays, a very limited menu. If you like a full english, the breakfast is huge! The rooms are basic but they are upgrading the property as they go. It's worth a stay if you want a lovely retreat to eat, drink, sleep to the sound of the river.

This Horse and Groom is a very dated traditional type of establishment that is very relaxing to be in. We were there for over 3 hours and time just flew by.The comprehensive menu has some traditional favourites along with some more contemporary meals. The coffee served is also very nice. Service is very good and the meals all arrived at the table together, hot and presented well. Only one disappointing thing is there was only one dressed crab salad left (it looked lovely). The fish cakes are also delicious. The whole party of 9 enjoyed all the various meals that they had ordered. So please you had a pleasant time with us.We get fresh crab daily from Brixham but never know how many each day, they are very popular hence sometimes we run out quickly.Hope to see you all again soon.

Family owned and run village pub in the heart of the Devon village of Harberton. Excellent quality food and drink. Dogs welcome.
Found this pub by accident, but can't wait to return! Stopped for a coffee and then decided to stay for lunch and another coffee! Wonderful food - so lovely to have something not from a pub chain! Delicious mackerel dish is to be recommended! Excellent value for money. Very friendly landlord.

Called in for supper after a day out visiting Tavistock and Dartmoor. Lovely staff and owners, very welcoming and friendly. We ordered fish and chips and it was fabulous, well cooked and delicious The bonus of being there on a Thursday was it was 2 for £20, incredible value. Felt like stepping back in time, lovely pub where you could hear a conversation without the loud music, friendly and welcoming atmosphere and good food. We will be back.

Once again on a very busy Wednesday evening The Cott gave my youngest son a fab 41st birthday venue. We've been coming here for years as we live close by and it's had it's ups and downs in 45 years but the current landlord works wonders and it maintains it's Best Pub title for yet another year. OK so it's got low ceilings and a slightly cramped space, with the men's loos outside, in fact everything a 1320 AD pub should have. Our meal for 10 persons was cooked and delivered as we'd expect. Looking forward to next time ..

Tom & the team welcome you to The Anchor Inn, a traditional yet contemporary, village inn with restaurant, pub and ten bedrooms available on a Bed and Breakfast basis. Ideally situated within a stones throw of Dartmoor National Park in Devon where the mov

If you ask for the gluten free option then you will get whatever the normal option is with gluten containing items removed so the roast consisted of boiled potatoes, thinly sliced meat, vegetables and gravy - no roast potatoes, no sausage, no stuffing. Come on - it is really easy to keep gluten free sausages in the freezer and what is wrong with peeling potatoes and roasting them. Poor show for the price.

Traditional English Bar with Restaurant. Huge Carpark & Beer Garden, dog friendly place, selling real ales and ciders & more! Straight off the A38 towards Totnes. Open All Day Every Day
The food and service here is definitely worth all five stars. Beautiful solid wood tables and chairs, and the most interesting and varied menu but not overwhelming just enough to suit everyone. Tasty and good value, and presented very well. Friendly and efficient staff. We look forward to more lunchtimes here, thankyou.

Found this place online and it didn't disappoint - great 3 meat roast and a lovely atmospheric olde worlde inn. Had to negotiate some very narrow country lanes to get there!

Beautiful old mill nestling in six acres of gardens with its own lake and river. Open all day serving traditional English pub and restaurant food in a relaxed atmosphere. Huge gardens make summer eating outside a pleasure. Freedom for children too!
Hello,As a local to Turtley, I have to say that I am pleased that such an establishment is only about 10 minutes from me.I find the people who work there welcoming and friendly and the the food is generally pretty good considering it is possible to get a meal throughout the day.The grounds are wonderful and there is a lake with wild fowl wandering about.Of particular importance to me is the acceptance of dogs and they are welcome.Turtley sometimes seems to attract people who seem to feel that nothing is good enough for them which can spoil the generally laid back yet I suppose one couldSay sophisticated atmosphere, which I guess happens in any establishment. All in all I I would reccomend visiting the turtley corn millSincerely....DavidThank you David; Iâm so pleased that you and your dog enjoyed Turtley. Itâs true, we do have a soft spot for dogs but our grounds do rather lend themselves to the occasional dog walk! Thanks for letting us know and we look forward to welcoming you both back.Bruce.
