Checked out the review's before booking Arrived earlier than anticipated got table straight away, food arrived at the table very quickly and was hot and tasty. Were met by staff who were excellent and friendly and very helpful, we asked if we could move outside as there were some noisy people at the bar for the football, no problem, all in all a very enjoyable experience and would highly recommend this place and will certainly visit again10/10
We both had cod and chips and it cost shy of £20, the fish was of average size and lovely and white, but full of bones, the chips were home made and with the skin on cut very thinly, frozen peas and tarter sauce which was the strangest tarter sauce we had ever had, didn't like it at all. The meal was not worth the cost and you could eat take out the same meal for the same price! no incentive to use the take out facility.

Visited here on a friend's birthday, started off OK usual bought in pub grub. First hiccup, burnt pork ribs. My friend nibbled round the burnt bits ! Time for dessert and a few of us ordered the home made banoffi pie only to find that it didn't contain any banana. IWhen I refused to pay for this it was explained that the bananas had "gone off" so were left out of the dish. The serving staff were left to deal with this situation which was both unfair and totally unprofessional. I'm not surprised that whoever cooked this abomination was too ashamed to come out of the kitchen. Sounds like the banoffi situation has improved of late, so might risk a Sunday carvery!

We are now serving breakfast Monday-Saturday 8am-11.30 and Sunday 8am-11am. We run a smoker menu alongside a full menu with daily specials and our 4 meat carvery runs on Sundays.
Our visit to the aviator used to be good back in the day but this was our last visit! I would only recommend it for drinks. Avoid the food if your hungry the service for meals was the worst I have ever experienced, Gordon Ramsey would have a field day there and needs to come here and put the world to rights. Over an hour wait for food is not acceptable when itâs quiet. Different meals being brought out to random tables before a whole group gets theirs, it would of been nice to eat the same time as my partner. The order system is pants! A massive let down and itâs painful for paying customers. Wish this place was still the good ole Lady Hamilton thatâs when this place was at its best fully booked every Saturday night and the service was first class. Overall - bad food timing, staff with excuses that just doesnât suit. Would of rather of took my partner for Mc Donaldâs. We wonât be back in a hurry thatâs for sure! My opinion is itâs not the place that needed a refurb it is the staff and the way the food system is run needs the shake up. Will not be recommending tofamily and friends. The reason we respond the way we do is because when you attack staff members personally and use the words disgusting as some of your table have done and slate them for trying to do there job under pressure it has to be put into perspective.you know five bridges was closed and at one point we had to stop taking orders, there are two sides to the pub not just the restaurant and all the tables were large tables some up to twelve mostly walk ins and mistakes were made, itâs called human error but please remember this the staff are young and doing there utmost to keep people happy but when you get a table of twelve and things arenât right and the staff are apologising they are trying to resolve the situation not make excuses and I would like you to also think about when you are at work (the ones that do), when you make a mistake you can apologise and it goes away, itâs simple but when these staff members and chefs make a mistake there are people like yourselves ready to race home and hit trip advisor and Facebook and canât wait to destroy them all. Its no different from bullying and this is the fourth review from the same table but the thing that makes the members of staff carry on smiling is because the other tables that were in there complimented them on being professional and they ended up with quite a few tips thatâs the difference with understanding customers

The landlord and staff are very friendly and make everyone feel welcome. Generous buffets are provided free of charge on various occasions throughout the year, including warming stews in the winter. They have a great cook, who looks after the darts team very well! It is lovely in this day and age to come across a landlord who really cares about his punters, long may he continue to do so.

Myself and my husband were made to feel very welcome by the landlord who insisted on us calling him Freddy which given that we are a mixed race gay couple is not always the case. The food was fairly basic but the bonhomie made up for this.

The Playa is set on Minster seafront providing wonderful views over the Thames estuary. We pride ourselves on our home-cooked top quality food, our range of fine ales, lagers and wines but above all exceptional customer service. We are a family run busine
The breakfast was so good we returned two days in a row. The big breakfast is huge and very tasty with proper sausages, not the cheap ones. The next day I had the haloumi and smashed avocado - once again delicious. When the weather is good, itâs nice to sit outside with the sea view.
