Serres is one of the administrative and economic centers of Northern Greece. The city is home to the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greek: Τ.Ε.Φ.Α.Α. Σερρών) and the Technological Educational Institute of Central Macedonia (Greek: ΤΕΙ Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας), composed of the School of Technological Applications, the School of Management and Finance and the School of Graphic Arts and Design, with at least 10,000 Greek and international students.

On Christmas Eve this year (December 2017), we had a lovely lunch at the restaurant located at the Acropolis of the city of Serres, in Macedonia. The food was very tasty and mouth-watering!!! Friendly staff always smiling and willing to help. This felt that we were at home. The food was so delicious that we had a short chat with the Chef, a kind and courteous person with a deep knowledge and expertise in gastronomy. Highly recommended!!!

On good coffee, but very small, if you have more people than usual in smothering choking, you can't pleasantly delights your coffee, I don't recommend for couples with children.
