Nine of us gathered for a weeknight meal. Plenty to choose from the menu. We shared some starters: the whitebait was lovely, as were the mushroom starters. The steaks were rare as ordered and the beef sizzling dishes were packed with quite spicy meat, lovely sweet potato chips and a light coleslaw. One reason for our choice of this restaurant is the lovely varied choice of vegetarian meals. Both the veggie and the mushroom stroganoff were voted delicious. We have eaten here many times and will definetly be returning.

while visiting family in Hythe we had an evening meal for 4 at the White Hart. The whole experience exceeded all expectations. I was just expecting your average pub grub, but i was wrong. We arrived on a Thursday night without a reservation. The place was very very busy. We did manage to get a table. The atmosphere was great, lots of people enjoying the food etc. The specials menu was impressive, i wanted the fish chowder but it had already sold out (good sign). I had the hake fillet instead and it was delicious and fresh. The waitress (short blonde hair) was so friendly and welcoming! We had a good laugh and joke with her. Thank you to her for taking care and recommending the delicious desserts. Highly recommend the White Hart :-)

A quirky pub situated in the heart of Folkestone's old town. With a large palmed summer garden and beautiful log lit fires this pub is a great visit all year round. The food on offering is traditional with a modern twist and is all to the highest quality.
Back, so the good people of Hastings can sample the delights of the Pullman. Enjoyed a good Sunday roast with all the trimmings and good beer. Recommend the Ox cheek croquettes to start. Yum. Like the House Party ale. Waitress was excellent - you know who you are!! Thanks

We went in here several times over the course of a few days break in Hythe. Every time we were warmly welcomed by friendly staff. Good range of drinks, and the food looked nice too - though we didn't eat here. The place was nice and warm, or sit outside. Easy access for the less mobile clientele. Toilets were clean and well stocked, the ladies even had hand creme, nice touch. Would defiantly recommend.

Ordered prawns and salt/pepper squid for starters - deliciousMains - lobster, crab, prawn, scallops dish and fries - Makes your mouth salivate just thinking about it!Mains - Mussels in a garlic, samphire and cream sauce with fries - the best mussels I have ever eaten - fresh, local caught - they were large, tasty and succulent and have restored my appetite for them after having had few disappointments abroad. Didn't take a photo of them unfortuately Will definately re-visit - staff were friendly and attentive

We often lunch there because of the sea view from the dining room and the good food. Interesting menu, fresh ingredients, well chosen wines or proper beer! The only waitress we know is charming and efficient. We can't wait for the weather to allow the use of the upstairs terrace. Hoping the experience will remain as pleasant with the increase in customers...

The Britannia is a friendly contemporary pub located only a few hundred yards from the seafront promenade. It is situated in a hamlet outside the picturesque town of Hythe, with its interesting shops and architecture, Royal Military Canal and Romney Hythe
Walked downhill from the nearby Holiday Inn Express with a colleague for a few drinks.Very hospitable host and the hand pulled beer was excellent. Intended to eat, but never got round to it! Wasn't busy, but the locals were friendly. The landlord kindly booked us a taxi back to the hotel.Recommended- both the Britannia & the Landlord

The Chambers is at first glance a street level Coffee Shop but by far the biggest surprise lies underground where The Chambers bar takes over! Either take in the great vista of watching Folkestone town life go on around you as you enjoy your freshly roast
My review is solely based on everything but their food here, I will get around to tasting some Chambers delights sometime soon. I've visited a fair few times over the past year for multiple different event nights and every single one has been great. The offering of beers, ciders and ales are exceptional, many local beers to try. The doormen and bar staff are super friendly, you'll see people of all ages and walks of life in there, it's just a really nice unique vibe. Chris is great (the owner) from my first visit for a friend's birthday, he went all out and arranged a few treats to make it extra special. Every week they have different DJ or live band nights on, take a look at their facebook for what's coming up, get yourself down there for a dance :)Hi ChampionByName & huge thanks for the five stars & awesome review!!Well you've summed up our 'venue' side of The Chambers perfectly i must say! We have domestic & international live music at least every Thursday evening & real quality Djs most every Friday & Saturday (after food service on the Sat). Also big thanks for mentioning the staff here too, from the door to the bar. We're really happy with the guys we have here and feel they represent what we're trying to do 100%, so having a customer put that in print for us is a real vindication of their & our efforts. Many thanks again and we hope to see you here again soon, maybe at the dining table......? :-)Cheers,The Chamber-Meister!

After reading the reviews on TA, we were really looking forward to eating here. And we weren't disappointed. As we went in, the first thing you notice are all the war memorabilia and metal signs everywhere. We actually ate upstairs, but there is a staircase leading downstairs to another seated area. Its a very small bar area, but that does not stop the {very friendly} locals sitting around it.We had our small grandson with us, and he loved the place. We ordered our food, hubby had the Steak, I had Mushroom burger, and our grandson had the cheeseburger. I have to say all three dishes were gorgeous. In fact it is the first time I have ever seen my grandson eat one. He absolutely loved it. It was all so tasty. I am looking forward to trying the dirty fries on my next visit. We will definitely be returning when we next visit Folkestone
