My friend and I had burgers at this place. Delicious! The burgers were a bit pricey for what you get but worth it. The atmosphere is open and casual. The 80's music soundtrack was awesome. Our server was friendly, attentive, and offered his honest recommendations off the menu. It is conveniently located near the A train Dyckman Street station.

Right by Central Park and Lincoln Ctr. (line for discounted Broadway tix right around the corner 1200-1500). Wonderful crab Benedict. Bloody marries are killer (expensive as well $18). staff is great very attentive. Love the old marble urinals worth seeing if you never have seen the chariot style.
When I want good pizza near my job, I go to Addeo. They offer good pizza and great customer service. The owner is often working in the restaurant welcoming and greeting the customers. If your in the Riverdale area and want good pizza, stop by Addeoâs Pizza.
For all those who have been mourning the closure of the Riverdale City Grill on Riverdale Avenue, there is joyous news. Two of the its former employees, bought a rather dismal neighborhood joint about a mile further north and painstakingly created a beautiful spot which may in all likely hood become better loved than City Grill. Located directly across the street from the iconic tortoise and hare sculpture at Van Cortlandt park, the pub is aptly name, TORTOISE AND HARE. The ambiance is warm and friendly, the service top notch, but it is the food and drink which really cap everything off. Although still relatively new, during several visits, everything seemed to be running like clockwork. Visitors are met with a friendly greeting, wait staff are quick to arrive at the table and food takes just enough time to let you know it was made not microwaved! A lot of thought and preparation has gone into making T&H a real treat for its customers. The wait staff, many of whom are alums of the City Grill are cheerful and friendly. Although the menu is not overly extensive, there are more than enough selections for everyone, meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The pulled pork is amazing, and I believe I may be addicted to the mac and cheese, the Marsala Burger, perfect for the vegetarian out there, is flavorful and not dry. May I encourage you to include French fries with your meal, very good. The week end brunch is a welcomed addition to the brunch starved Riverdale area. I highly recommend the avocado toast as well as the egg benedict Florentine. The brunch sandwiches and eggs are served with tasty hash brown patty and a delicious cabbage slaw salad. As for the French toast, you can go for the original or try the Nutella version, both are superb. Enhance your brunch experience with a delicious Bloody Mary or a light summery Mimosa. Tortoise and Hare is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, with a handsome bar and dark woods, high-top tables and chairs. It is open and airy, with plenty of sitting space for couples and families. If you are in the mood for a quick bite, sit at the comfy bar and enjoy their signature cocktail while nibbling on some of the lighter fare. A great addition to Central/North Riverdale, I warn you in advance, this place could become habit forming!

the riverdale steak house has been around for decades and reminds me of the type of place to paraphrase a tv show "where everybody knows your name". granted we are not talking about gourmet dining but food more on the style of comfort food....while i did notice that some reviews complained about the amount of food...i and my friend found the food amount to be just right...not too little and not too much to make you feel stuffed.....i would add a little more variety to the liqueurs in the bar selection however must comment on the rice pudding dessert.....in all the years i have ordered rice pudding in restaurants it has been served cold...this one was served warm and i found it much more preferable.Good morning Peperina826,Thank you for your review, we're glad that you enjoyed the rice pudding and that you thought the quantity of food was just right. It seemed like everything was fine so not sure why you only gave just three stars? In any event, please make yourself known to the wait staff when you visit next so that we can make sure you have an even better experience next time! All the best,Eileen Connaughton

Visited this charming neighborhood cafe on a hot Sunday afternoon in August -- literally seconds off the Henry Hudson Parkway, in the Bronx -- and caught some of the very best Irish traditional music anywhere, anytime: world-class button accordionist John Redmond and terrific guitarist Matt Diaz and flutist (whose name I didn't catch, sorry!) just killing it. Even if you're not familiar with this music, its energy is undeniable. Incredible to have this treasure and these superstars right here, for the price of a Guinness or cup of tea. The ambiance is relaxed: books, posters, other no-frills but high-humor/history decor. Waitstaff friendly and welcoming, and the cafe fills with appreciative regulars of all ages, from infants to very senior. A great vibe. Bravo -- and thanks -- to the management for contributing so generously to the culture scene in New York.Thank you. That flute player was Sean Tierney of the world famous trad group Girsa . John Redmond indeed does bring the best Irish Trad musicians here each Sunday . We are one of the few venues left that encourage original music and world music .

This review should be 0 starts! Normally I would give this place 5 stars. My husband and I come here often (often enough to know what kind of service to expect!) Thereâs no denying they have great food. But as of lately the service suuuuuuucks! Iâm not sure if itâs because of the expansion (which I thought was great, obviously not !) I just left furious! I went thinking I would have nice time with my husband, we were seated quickly, low and behold the table was so tiny & wobbling! My husband ordered a beer and the glass still had a lipstick stain. GROSS!Normally they give you free popcorn, I had to ask for it after sitting for 20 mins! Then the utensils & appetizer plates were brought to the table and the âcleanâ plate had stains of food! Do you even wash the dirty dishes? On top of the dishes being dirty the waitress was so careless she stabbed my hand with my own utensils!!!! Wtf?!?After I noticed other customers leaving I ask if we could switch to a larger table because obviously our food was not going to fit and I knew we would not enjoy our food comfortably. I literally had to hold my drink in my hand! We were told no because of âTrivia nightâ. They said they needed the table, I have pictures of the equipment that did not warrant the amount of space they took. It was ridiculous. If Iâm going to spend my money to eat out, I should be able to enjoy it comfortably. My husband & I were so annoyed we left (with our food!) Whatâs the point of expanding if your service gets worst? Get it together!

Kingsbridge Social Club is a wood fired pizza bar/restaurnat located in the Bronx. Our menu is italian in style serving items such as wood fired pizza, meatballs, salads, pastas and much more. Our bar serves craft beer, cocktails and wine.
Wow! What an interesting place. By being a "social club" you would think that it was private, that is not the case. "Social club" at Kingsbridge means just that "social". From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a warm hello and how do you do by the owner. The atmosphere is relaxed, contemporary and during warm weather they have an outside patio to enjoy. We started with drinks as we looked over the menu. They have several local IPA's available which are very good and of course your standard bar libations. We sampled several items and each were delicious and plentiful enough to share. The "Hot Cherry Pepper Wings" are a must try. Their presentation on an old stand by was a great experience and tasty. The Caesar Salad was fresh and flavorful and the pizza was awesome. They have a wood buying oven and you can watch your pie being prepared and cooked in the oven. The taste was delicious and unforgettable. The menu consist of; Bar Snacks, Salads & Sandwiched, Pizza, Pasta and Dolce. Happy hour Monday - Friday 3PM - 7PM.
